  2. I am new to compiling MaNGOS but I have been working with Trinitycore for a few years now so I have a grasp on my way around. I am having an issue with compiling extractors. When ever I build the full solution after CMAKE I get multiple errors from MapDbcExtractor and VMapExtractor - "Cannot open include file: 'StormLib.h': No such file or directory" I had read on another forum that you may have to build StormLib separate or make a path for StormLib in CMAKE but I am unsure how to build it separately for it to work nor do I know which path I should specify in CMAKE for it to work. If anyone has any ideas about which way I can go next would be awesome! Thanks in advance

  5. Hi, little problem I followed the Windows build guide and managed to build Mangos Three, but I'm having problems with the extractor which seems to be missing parts. I can extract the map files and DBC files (I pick all the extraction options), all the creation options are greyed out, so after a few moments I'm left with a DBFilesClient folder and World folder containing a Maps folder, which then contains folders named after the zones, which are filled with *.adt files. When I rebuilt the solution, I had several failures, and I presume they all/most relate to the extractor, as I currently have realmd.exe running fine, but can't start mangosd.exe without these map files. Substitution doesn't seem to work, as it tells me they're from an non-compatible version. If I'm overlooking something, or you need a log file from the build, let me know what you need and where it should be.

  9. Hi I can't start mangosd server (the realmd is ok). See the logs. I think that I don't have some files in Data folder so can't extract all maps.   10. Hello, i followed the guide and my server is running. But when i'm loged all npc labeled with "unknown". They have no quests, i can't buy something and no spell works. in the logfile are no big error messages. The mangos.exe always displays the following message when the character moves.
  11. I need help. So the part of the whole install I thought would be easiest is giving me the most issues. When I run the "extractresources" tool it errors out. I have tried with 2 different Cataclysm folders with the game at Version 434 (15595). I also downloaded the ISO for CAT and did an install from that and tried the tool and nothing. So i created a scrip for halls of origination in cata core -- Anhuur\'s Brige Raises after first boss kill DELETE FROM dbscripts_on_creature_death WHERE id=39425; INSERT INTO dbscripts_on_creature_death VALUES (39425,1,11,0,0,207725,1000,7,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,'Doodad_uldum elavator'), (39425,1,11,0,0,206506,1000,7,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,'Raises anhuur\'s bridge'); however this was created for cmangos and i don not see any dbscripts_on_creature_death where will i find the script that represents similar to this.
  17. hello ! while my mangotwo server runs almost fine i got a problem with mangosthree i dumped all the fullDB .sql............ (by the way, if u know how to apply all .sql "in one" click u'll help me greatly clicking one-by-one is long & fatidious ! ) so i launch game and, at begin 3rd elf quest druid, i must "use rejuvanation on wounded sentinel" and it stays at 0/1 in quest panel/log........ (is it a known issue, should i stay with mangos two ??) so i tested applying the updates this time... and got an error at "Rel21_02_03_start_up_error_fixes.sql" -> and all other .sql applying but this one... and so when i launch mangos it says that i'm at : .... but i can't apply updates, or fix the questn nor launch again the mangos.exe.. Can you help me please ?
  18. I'm busy with testing a Cataclysm (mangos three) server. I've downloaded the precompiled files from the download section. The problem I've come across is that the vmap-extractor.exe crashes on expansion2.MPQ. I am following the guide here ... https://www.getmangos.eu/wiki/documentation/installation-guides/guideslinux/installing-mangos-on-ubuntu-1604-lts-r20078/ I am running Ubuntu 16.04 and chose to install MaNGOS 3. I have tried this many, many times and it is always failing constantly with errors at different places, which I have managed to fix until now. First of all, I thought that now everything was being done by a script, everything was going to be easy..... no... it is still accompanied by errors, and guides missing out vital stages. All of my client files have been copied to my MaNGOS home directory. Along the way, I noticed several typos and throughout the script which were either causing me errors or I had spotted during browsing the script. These were a clear indication that this script was never tested properly before being released and it would not have worked with these errors. Here's the diff on a couple of these:- < INSTPATH="$ROOTPATH/fice" --- > INSTPATH="$ROOTPATH/five" < rm -f "$GAMEPATH/map-extractor" --- > rm -rf "$GAMEPATH/map-extractor" As you can see, a typo where 'fice' should have been 'five' and also when removing a directory (recursively) it is missing the -r switch. Anyway, these were easy fixes but now the real problems begin... Everything appears to work fine until this point:- The realm database has been created!The realm database has been created! The characters database has been created! The world database has been created! The file "/home/mangos/three/src/database/World/Setup/FullDB/achievement_criteria_requirement.sql" was processed properly The file "/home/mangos/three/src/database/World/Setup/FullDB/achievement_reward.sql" was processed properly The file "/home/mangos/three/src/database/World/Setup/FullDB/areatrigger_involvedrelation.sql" was processed properly The file "/home/mangos/three/src/database/World/Setup/FullDB/areatrigger_tavern.sql" was processed properly The file "/home/mangos/three/src/database/World/Setup/FullDB/areatrigger_teleport.sql" was processed properly ... Database update "/home/mangos/three/src/database/World/Updates/Rel21/Rel21_07_006_Populate_missing_GO_desc.sql" was successfully applied! Realm Name: MaNGOS Three Server #1 Realm ID: 1 dirname: missing operand Try 'dirname --help' for more information. The sql files all appear to be created successfully but immediately afterwards there appears to be a problem with the dirname and this is because there is an issue with the find command. Running this directly on the command line gives me a permission denied :- INSTGAMEPATH=$(dirname $(find /home -name "WoW.exe"| head -1 2>>/dev/null)) By this time I had re-run the whole getmangos script more than half a dozen times over a period of many hours and I couldn't be bothered to fix this so I just corrected it as follows:- INSTGAMEPATH=$(dirname $(find /home/mangos -name "Wow.exe"| head -1 2>>/dev/null)) Oh and by the way note how I have changed the WoW.exe to Wow.exe as it appears in my client, and without this change the find command will return nothing. Strangely, it will now ask your game path (again?), which I had to manually enter. (maybe because the dbc directory does not exist?) An error extracting vmaps I have been trying to install MaNGOS over a number of years now and I never successfully completed it as there are always errors, more errors, incorrect or missing instructions. Sometimes even to the point of disinformation. I then give up. Again it seems that there are a plethora of errors etc in this script but I am determined to get to the bottom of it this around. I have gone quite a long way to investigate and report these errors and I would appreciate some help, please. If there is any further information you require, please ask. I have just tried this again and thought that this may me working, but no...... Then out of desperation, I tried the ExtractResources.sh script. This script appears to be deceptive and when you think it is working away like a busy beaver, it is actually doing nothing. One the screen it shows... So all along it was doing nothing. Once again, please help...
  20. Hi everybody, I'm trying since few weeks to set up a mangos three server (under Ubuntu 16.04 LTS). First I tried with a Mangos One, wich worked perfectly. But now I'm experiencing issue with extracting data for mangos three, but I'm getting this error :"./getmangos.sh : ligne 1221 : 2235 Erreur de segmentation (core dumped) ./vmap-extractor There was an issue while extracting VMaps!" I tried under windows and it doesn't extract the vmaps even if it looks like it works perfectly with dbc and maps, i think this is the same issue, but I can't figure It out. I tried with files that I get from the forum (vmaps and mmaps), and then they said : "Chek existing of map file' ./maps/5301243.map' : not exist! Correct *.map files not found in path './maps or *.vmtree /*.vmtile file in './vmaps'. Please place *.map and vmap files in appropriate directories or correct the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file." So i think that's maps aren't extracted properly. Thanks for your help !

Hello people, im having a issue when i use ExtractResources.sh, it creates the dbc and maps without problem, but when its time to create vmaps and mmaps im only recive two empty folders, i dont know much about programing or things like that, but im followed the guide to install mangos on windows using easlybuild step by step until compile all files, i appreciate our help and sorry for my english am learning =) PD: am using Windows 7 64bits. MaNGOSExtractor_detailed.log
  23. Hey I have a little problem with extracting the maps from the game client. When I start ExtractResources.sh it works well for the beginn. But I'm here now https://www.dropbox.com/s/buiem9wron3tro3/data-extractor.png?dl=0 What I have to do ? Push return or wait? When I push return then the close after 2 minutes and the folders vmaps and mmaps are emtpy When I wait nothing happen.
  24. Can somebody tell me where to get a v4.3.4 client that works with the extractor? I've tried 3 different downloads with the same error each time, missing .MPQ files & the extractor messes up. And before you ask, YES all the extractor files were in the main wow folder & the ace.dll.
  25. I noticed that in mangos three that flying mounts don't work not sure if this is just me or if everyone else is getting this issue, but I remember this working at one time but it isn't working now. Just wondering and if so where the break was and to get it working once again, Thanks.
