  1. THIS STARTED IN MANGOS ONE, BUT IS ACTUALLY A CROSS CORE ISSUE - IF YOU CAN, PLEASE MOVE THIS TO THE CROSS CORE SECTION. Someone recently sent me a video about an analysis of different issues on private servers regarding the combat calculations, one of those issues was the Glancing Blow. So I checked back on the information given and the code and saw that there is a problem with the combat calculations regarding the Glancing Blow, which seems to be capped to 40% on TBC and WotLK when it shouldn't. <Insert Rambling about people spending hours on creating YouTube videos, but 0 time sending a bug report> So I found the issue on One and Two: One: https://github.com/mangosone/server/blob/v22.01.62/src/game/Object/Unit.cpp#L2878 Two: https://github.com/mangostwo/server/blob/v22.01.77/src/game/Object/Unit.cpp#L3253 Source: https://wowwiki-archive.fandom.com/wiki/Glancing_blow There were several discussion in the forums already, which lead to no changes regarding that issue, but with the old sources + NuTBC confirming it we should do so accordingly. I couldn't find reliable sources for anything past the 25% chance, so I went on to create Pull Requests for anything up to Four. Since the 40% was just copy and paste from the previous version, I'd rather go with the 25% starting from TBC.
  2. I'm not one for making big posts at MaNGOS but at this time we need to. We desperately need people with C++ (and a bit of cmake) experience to help us with a variety of issues. - The future of Mangos depends on it. I am not an experienced C++ developer and although I can normally work around the code and make fairly simple changes, when things go horribly wrong I can end up stuck. We are also currently down to one developer, apart from myself working across all cores and tools. Mangos needs you help if we are to continue !! Please contact either @madmax or @antz if you feel you can help out.
  3. Hi guys, First time installing mangos on Linux and having a hard time figuring out whats goiing on, Following this procedure : and getting stuck while "Making" with this error : Thanks a lot in advance for the help
  4. Hi. I have tried to compile the 4 mangos server and I have this error in Cmake. Could you help me? OS: Debian 8 Error: CMake Warning (dev) at CMakeLists.txt:302 (get_target_property): Policy CMP0026 is not set: Disallow use of the LOCATION target property. Run "cmake --help-policy CMP0026" for policy details. Use the cmake_policy command to set the policy and suppress this warning. The LOCATION property should not be read from target "genrev". Use the target name directly with add_custom_command, or use the generator expression $<TARGET_FILE>, as appropriate. This warning is for project developers. Use -Wno-dev to suppress it. -- Using Linux port CMake Error at src/realmd/CMakeLists.txt:117 (install): install FILES given no DESTINATION! -- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred! See also "/mnt/d1/dev/mangos4/server/linux/CMakeFiles/CMakeOutput.log". make: *** No se especificó ningún objetivo y no se encontró ningún makefile. Alto. There was an error building MaNGOS!
  5. I have tried repeatedly to use Easybuild on serverFour. Still does not include the tool in the win directory but was given it to copy over. However, every time I check using the tool it says under Required sub modules at the bottom, it is missing Deps, Eluna, Unified Extractio0n Tools. All of the software has installed without errors, including the 2008 distributable which I added for another program. This is a new build pc using Win 7 64-bit ultimate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Shiva
  6. Hi ya'll! I'm going to be bringing back the awesomeness that was FunServers!!! Mine will even include the ability to hack, so I'll be needing tons of help securing core parts of the realm, my website and hard drive so no one will be traversing through my personal info lol, but all of that is for another day. I released a video about my announcement to start a server here on my YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHbOJz0gXG0 So there you go, you know a little more about what I am trying to do, so here is where I am at: I've been following the Wiki here: https://www.getmangos.eu/wiki/installation-guides/guideswindows/ And I have everything installed to start developing the server (I totally understand that am about to be compiling my own core: I want this.) except for one thing: In the tutorial it says: Navigate into the Win folder and double-click EasyBuild. I don't have anything called EasyBuild. I am using mangosFour (why does the prefix say zero - five? what is mangosFive? How do I get that? Is it newer? I want the latest and greatest!) and I just cloned it using this tutorial: https://www.getmangos.eu/wiki/installation-guides/guidesgeneral/downloading-the-mangos-sourcecode-r20023/ So did I do something wrong at this point? Where can I obtain EasyBuild so I can continue the development? Thank you, in advanced, for your time! I love MaNGOS and used to run a server called SkypeWoW RIGHT when MaNGOS was being released to support worlds above 1.12.1 <3
