  1. Hello everyone, and thank you for looking this over for me. I am trying to compile the MaNGOS three distribution on an Ubuntu 18.04 virtual machine, and when doing so I'm running into some errors (shown below) I'm aware that the notes mention pulling the /dep directory from git on its own when having errors with the ACE dependencies, and I was able to do so, but I still arrived at the same errors. Note that when I pulled the /dep directory the command I used was "git clone https://github.com/mangos/mangosDeps.git . --recursive --depth=3" The build then proceeds to suggest
  2. After getting my MaNGOS Three server running on my UbuntuServer 20.04, I have come across a few commands that are not working at all. The following are the most common ones that work on TBC but don't appear to work on the Cata server... There are others but these are my top wishlist commands. .learn all_crafts .learn all_recipes .modify rep I wouldn't mind a pointer as to how to fix these myself. I do have some programming experiance in C++ but mostly on inux platforms.
  3. After getting my MaNGOS Three server running, recently, I have noticed a couple of annoying quirks with my characters. After dismounting, they run at the same speed as the mount they have just dismounted from. Also, when logging in or sometimes dismounting, the characters float a foot or so off the ground.
  4. Here we go again.... I have sorted my problem with SQL syntax errors and make errors but now another issue. It appears that when using the ExtractResources.sh script, not all map files are generated. I end up with a load of files from 2692527.map to 9773232.map. However, when trying to run mangosd, it throw the following error:- Check existing of map file '/opt/wow/gamedata/maps/0004331.map': not exist! Correct *.map files not found in path '/opt/wow/gamedata/maps' or *.vmtree/*.vmtile files in '/opt/wow/gamedata/vmaps'. Please place *.map and vmap files in appropriate directories or
  5. I have successfully compiled and made a MaNGOS3 server on my windows 7 box but ideally, I would like it to run from my Ubuntu server 20.04.   6. I'm not one for making big posts at MaNGOS but at this time we need to. We desperately need people with C++ (and a bit of cmake) experience to help us with a variety of issues. - The future of Mangos depends on it. I am not an experienced C++ developer and although I can normally work around the code and make fairly simple changes, when things go horribly wrong I can end up stuck.   7. I'm having a bizarre bug where flight isn't working (druid flight form, flying mount, or gm fly mode) even with spells learned. However, if I logout after trying to fly (flight form/mounted) and back in, flying works. If I then land and try to fly again, I need to repeat the process. It's very odd. Any ideas? I tried updating to today's build without any improvement. Note: Another bug I figure is unrelated but worth mentioning in case, is that typing the .commands request (for the list) in game causes the server to crash. Very odd.   9. I am new to compiling MaNGOS but I have been working with Trinitycore for a few years now so I have a grasp on my way around. I am having an issue with compiling extractors. When ever I build the full solution after CMAKE I get multiple errors from MapDbcExtractor and VMapExtractor - "Cannot open include file: 'StormLib.h': No such file or directory" I had read on another forum that you may have to build StormLib separate or make a path for StormLib in CMAKE but I am unsure how to build it separately for it to work nor do I know which path I should specify in CMAKE for it to work.   12. Hi, little problem I followed the Windows build guide and managed to build Mangos Three, but I'm having problems with the extractor which seems to be missing parts. I can extract the map files and DBC files (I pick all the extraction options), all the creation options are greyed out, so after a few moments I'm left with a DBFilesClient folder and World folder containing a Maps folder, which then contains folders named after the zones, which are filled with *.adt files. When I rebuilt the solution, I had several failures, and I presume they all/most relate to the extractor, as I
  13. So i'm thinking of upgrading my server to mangos 3 but i've heard that its missing some things from it or that its not as stable as the ones before it. If it is missing stuff, can someone tell me what its missing?
  14. So far, I've done the following: 1. Initial update of all installed yum packages 2. Downloaded and compiled ACE, set ACE_ROOT environment variable 3. Installed and configured mariadb 4. Copied Cataclysm files via SFTP 5.   16. Hi I can't start mangosd server (the realmd is ok). See the logs. I think that I don't have some files in Data folder so can't extract all maps. Please see the logs the world-server.log is the mangosd log. I have use this tool to download Data: https://github.com/mangostools/MangosWoWRegeneration . The wow build version is 15595 (4.3.4).   17. Hello, i followed the guide and my server is running. But when i'm loged all npc labeled with "unknown". They have no quests, i can't buy something and no spell works. in the logfile are no big error messages. The mangos.exe always displays the following message when the character moves.
  18. I need help. So the part of the whole install I thought would be easiest is giving me the most issues. When I run the "extractresources" tool it errors out. I have tried with 2 different Cataclysm folders with the game at Version 434 (15595). I also downloaded the ISO for CAT and did an install from that and tried the tool and nothing. It creates folders: Buildings, mmaps, vmaps. It does not creat a map folder so I also tried after I create the map folder. Below is a short version of error and below that the longer version. So i created a scrip for halls of origination in cata core -- Anhuur\'s Brige Raises after first boss kill DELETE FROM dbscripts_on_creature_death WHERE id=39425; INSERT INTO dbscripts_on_creature_death VALUES (39425,1,11,0,0,207725,1000,7,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,'Doodad_uldum elavator'), (39425,1,11,0,0,206506,1000,7,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,'Raises anhuur\'s bridge'); however this was created for cmangos and i don not see any dbscripts_on_creature_death where will i find the script that represents similar to this.
  24. hello ! while my mangotwo server runs almost fine i got a problem with mangosthree i dumped all the fullDB .sql............ (by the way, if u know how to apply all .sql "in one" click u'll help me greatly clicking one-by-one is long & fatidious ! ) so i launch game and, at begin 3rd elf quest druid, i must "use rejuvanation on wounded sentinel" and it stays at 0/1 in quest panel/log........   25. I'm busy with testing a Cataclysm (mangos three) server. I've downloaded the precompiled files from the download section. The problem I've come across is that the vmap-extractor.exe crashes on expansion2.MPQ.
