  2. Hi. Long time lurker first time poster. I have successfully installed and run a MaNGOS Zero server on my home Ubuntu server now for just about half a year. I see there are beeing updates pushed quite often on the site but I cant find any information on how I update my installation to the latest build. Is there any documentation on how to update an existing Mangos Zero install to the latest build of Mangos Zero? I would appreciate any help
  3. I remember there was a thread some place that talked about this. I searched but didn't see it and I don't really recall the title. Anyway, I was wondering what steps are needed to use multiple MaNGOS versions within a single tet environment. My test box is linux, and I would like to use zero, one, and two. I think I recall @antz mentioning the need to run the install script multiple times to pull the desired repos, but I really don't remember that well. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
  4. Gist of problem: Hunter Survival talent 'Entrapment' procs off ANY source of damage over time, and does not trigger from Frost Trap as it should. Found/tested on: Covenant WoW - Using World DB: Version: 21, Structure: 14, Content: 67 Entrapment 5/5: Gives your Immolation Trap, Frost Trap, and Explosive Trap a 25% chance to entrap the target, preventing them from moving for 5 sec. What does work: Immolation Trap and Explosive Trap both trigger the talent correctly, allowing multiple entrapments per damage over time effect. Entrapment is not affected by diminishing returns on Zero and this is correct as diminishing returns were not added to the talent until Burning Crusade: Source What does not work: Frost Trap does not trigger Entrapment at all, and it should be able to trigger entrapment multiple times with a chance each 'pulse' if the enemy stays within the frost AoE. What is working incorrectly: Entrapment is triggering off ANY source of damage over time including hunter stings, and trinkets such as 'Chained Essence of Eranikus'. Proof of use: Plops PvP video on Youtube This video is from a 2006 Hunter pvp showcase by Plops, who can be found at Warcraft Movies here Timestamps: 0:37 Frost Trap activates 0:47 Rogue is entrapped - 1:10 Frost Trap activates 1:13 Warrior is entrapped 1:20 Warlock is entrapped 1:31 Warlock is entrapped a second time
  5. A couple of days after playing with Mangos Zero installation I decided to try to enable the included ai playerbot extension. For information's sake, I eventually changed aiplayerbot.conf to include these tokens (not a fan of the random bots, but the others work well enough) AiPlayerbot.Enabled = 1 AiPlayerbot.RandomBotAutologin = 0 AiPlayerbot.RandomBotAutoCreate = 0 AiPlayerbot.MinRandomBots = 1 AiPlayerbot.MaxRandomBots = 1 With aiplayerbot enabled I noticed server would crash whenever I looted an item that required the bots to roll, or one of the bots attempted to loot an item. This crash originated from QueryItemUsageAction::Execute. The format of the packet that this method attempts to read doesn't seem to match what the server has sent and the read results in meaningless data and a crash. I tried to apply a brute force solution and simply have this method return true, and nothing else. This made for a much more usable playerbot module. I can't say I would ever want to group with one of the mages, but so far warrior, paladin and rogue seem to do well enough... I have not spent too much time looking for the correct packet. If someone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Otherwise, bots are functional enough to be enjoyable
  6. Hello, I followed the guide to install Mangos Zero on Debian 8. However, even if AH bot is working, I don't think the playerbot module is compiled. Server Version : 21014 Database Version : Rel21.14.2 Supporting Clients : 1.12.x Builds : 5875 6005 6141 Module Status - Eluna : Enabled Warden : Disabled ScriptDev3 (SD3) : Enabled Remote Access (RA) : Disabled When I check the installation script I don't see any information about playerbot. https://github.com/mangoszero/server/blob/master/linux/getmangos.sh However, it seems to be in the sources : https://github.com/mangoszero/server/tree/master/src/modules/Bots/playerbot Anyone able to tell me how to install Mangos Zero with playerbot support? Thanks for the help.
  7. When summoning Urok Doomhowl at his pile of skulls inside LBRS, an evident bug takes place: the boss spawns twice: The process is the following - Use the head+pole, start event - Boss spawns, you have to kill him of course <----- this is the wrong step. - Other adds spawn on a sequence, you kill the adds - At the end, boss spawns again (as he normally should). There is also another major bug when compared to retail: spawning adds are supposed to attack THE PIKE, not the player(s). This is how it's supposed to work: The players are supposed to defend the pike, killing the adds. If the adds succeed to damage the pike "enough" (can't remember how much), the event fails and the boss does not spawn. If the players defend the pike, the boss spawns at the end. This is how it currently works on Zero: Adds attack the player(s), not the pike. I tried to look inside the DB but I could not possibly find where the scripts are saved and linked to creature 10584 (Urok) or gameobject 175621 (the pile). No joy. If someone prompts me on where to look at, I'll try to fiddle and maybe fix. Thanks U
  8. Hi there I followed the installation guide for centos and have an issue when connecting to the server. When logging in the realmchoice opens and I'm clicking on the Servername, but the realmchoice just opens again and again. What can I do now? The server is just inside my LAN and will be used by clients inside my LAN. Regards Alzieh
  9. My install went fine but I am having trouble getting the player bots to activate. the AHbot runs great with the .conf file in the /home/mangos/zero/etc folder. I tried to do the same with player bots but no luck. I then tried to follow instructions from @antz in another thread to place the .conf file in with mangosd, which is in the /home/mangos/zero/bin folder on Ubuntu 16.04. I did a search through my files and I have two 'Bots' folders located at the following: /home/mangos/zero/src/server/src/modules which contains the playerbot folder with aiplayerbot.conf.dist.in in it & /home/mangos/zero/src/server/linux/src/modules which contains aiplayerbot.conf.dist I have tried renaming the files, placing them in the /zero/bin and /zero/etc folders, or just renaming them in their current directories and none of it seems to make any difference. I ran the cmake .. -DPLAYERBOTS=1 and it went through the process. All the files have the bots as enable and I deleted the extras I had made. I am kind of at a loss for ideas at the moment.
  10. Is there some sort of procedure to follow when it comes to updating / using a new version of the Mangos Zero Server? How can I retain all of my DB info / not loose character progress? I apologize if this question has been answered elsewhere..the amount of content on this site is huge and I didn't find anything Also I'm still very new to mangos, so hopefully this doesn't come across as a huge noob question... Thanks!
