how do i change an accounts password

i have set up an account on my own server. i cant however log in because the password was changed without my knowledge.(i cant explain how or even if. i cant use the account at the very least.) how do i change an accounts password. i tried the account password command but that told me that i can only use it from a RA console.(what is that anyway.)

The RA console is the Remote Admin console, you can connect to your running realm with a tool like putty, using the RAW protocol, regulary on port 3443, each realm with its own port. But you need to activate this first in the realm specific mangosd.conf.

You can reset a password with the "account set password" command in the realm console. The specific syntax will be shown when you enter the phrase.

You can change it in the database using a hash generator, like http://www.whatsmyip.org/hash_generator/

Just put in USERNAME:PASSWORD where USERNAME is the user name and PASSWORD is the password (both in all caps) and then copy the new SHA1 hash.

Or you can use the server's console.
