Another Git Bash problem

Uprising

Recommended Posts

I am also having a problem with Git Bash. When I right click I don't get the "Git Bash" option either, nor do I have Git Bash in my list of programs. I've searched for it and can't find it. I've installed two different copies of Git hoping that I used the wrong one first but to no avail. I went to the help site for Git and it showed a list of install options that I do not have. It allows me to select the directory then installs. I have also tried uninstalling Git, but my computer doesn't find it as a program. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks in advance.

I assume you are on windows?

In this case, download from

http://code.google.com/p/msysgit/downloads/list

the file

Git-1.7.4-preview20110204.exe

(well, or whatever is suitable, I would dl this one)

Then you should uninstall all remaining git installations, if you cannot uninstall, possible delete old installation attempts.

Then install Git from the downloaded installer, there in the beginning you can make a choice if you want "Git Bash here" in the context menu.
