What is "update diff"

Hello, i would really like to know what this updatediff is, i have been trying to figure out for like loong time but i never got the answer, so i hope someone may give me a hint atleast

the time difference in ms since the update functions had been called last.

Server has one 'master loop' that updates all sessions and maps. Update diff is length of single update cycle
