if you want to use spells of the creature_template, you will have to add ScriptName='generic_creature' for this mob.
This ScriptName however requires SD2 installed.
Another, and way better approach to get mobs spelling is to use EventAI:

(remember to set AIName='EventAI' for the mob)

Examples can be found in latest ACID release file, and in the acid forum, found at scriptdev2.com (scroll down)

I just tried adding spells to some customized npcs in the database however nothing happends in-game and since c++ isnt my strongest codeing language im kind of stuck here any ideas? if so thanks

Ok, ive tried everything now and still cant get any creatures to weild weapons. Ive tried adding it in the database still nothing, is there anyother way to make creature weild items?
PS: I'm not sure if this is a core/Database issue
PSS: im using Rev 10050

Ok im offically stuck i cannot find the cpp file what contains players being level 80, im trying to make the cap level 255 since conf files wont allow me to do this and yea i searched player.cpp to find nothing >.< anyone know what file contains the leveling rang information? thanks

For some reason players can't level past 80 and before you ask yest i did change cap in Mangosd.conf but for some reason i see somthing in the prompt saying capp 255 out of rang using default 80? not sure how to remove this...anyone know? if so thanks!

Waht you meaning client side Listen for all around? Just select any target and sound will be in area
ive tried it ive targeted my self,players and npcs and everyone sadi they couldnt hear anything when i asked them maybe is a revison bug?

I read recently similar error report and in result source of problem has been found as outdated scripting DLL
So this is going to take a while to fix im guessing in the mean time ill go look for some more bugs like getting Xp from customized quests etc

For some reason every NPC i add an item to wont display in-game (Equipting) ive deleted cache and everything

Not sure if this is in only rev 9279 but custom quests won't give any xp on completing.
Anyone else got this issue?

Hi, ive been using telenet master now and since ive updated the MaNGOS Revision the Teleporter dosn't seem to work anymore and i cant update does anyone know a good teleporter for 3.3.3a Rev 9729? if so tyvm

I meaning: _real_ problem not fixed. Just some _proper_ chnages undo for let work as temporary sollution. Exist some difference in proper fix and temporary re-adding hack.
Oh i get you now also i would like to say in Rev 9729 the vendors sell all there items unlike in Rev 9690 / 9720 where they could sell the first item.

it's a client limitation now. The client expects all the weapons to be in the DBC files so if it's not, it won't load the proper values to let you cast spells. I was attempting to find a way to trick the client into thinking it was a different weapon than it was (for spell casting anyway) but gave up for now. You can use unused ID's that are in the DBC files and it will work correctly but it takes a lot of time to go through them all.

Ive noticed this bug on certain revisions now and have done some searchs but havnt seemed to find anything,
Basically if you create a weapon in your DB and weild it in-game the server thinks your unarmed.
If you are having is problem your not alone
anyone know how to resolve this or do you need to just have a main hand weapon and then a custom one in offhand?

Hi ive just grabed the lates rev (9720) from GIT and everything works apart from players cannot see each other for some reason is this a known bug? if so how do you resolve this? thanks

mangos masters branch has 3.3.3a support you just need to download it and thats it ,start deving i guess
i have done it everythign works apart from players seeing each other is this a know bug? im using rev 9720

Hi, ive recently broke up with my ex (Arcemu) and now am use MaNGOS since MaNGOS is more stable and sexy, Could anyone help me or tell me how to but scripts in mangos. un;like Arcemu theres not a script folder or Script_bin folder, thanks luv u xx lol
