  1. Make sure that your realm is set to your WoW realmlist (so if you want to play locally, you need to set your realm's IP in your realmd database to 127.0.0.1 or localhost). Alternatively, it's possible that you have some kind of security blocking the connection to the realm such as a firewall or anti-virus.

wouldn't the anti-virus and or firewall make it so that u couldn't even see a server online or offline? regardless of that there are no issues involving anti-virus or a firewall that can make is so that you see a server offline instead of online. I appreciate the possible issue but that has no bearing on a 127.0.0.1 server. as for the realmlist in WOW it is set to 127.0.0.1 or else i wouldn't see the mangos realm as offline.

  2. wasn't intentional, the blizzard patcher had a mind of its own. besides i have never heard of an issue like this with version incompatibility. the last time i did a private server has been a while though, a lot has changed

figured out that it was a miss patch on the mangos server

  3. after loading mangos.exe it shows the serter startup time then mangos process priority class set to high then jumps down 2 lines and types

    mangos>[0 ms] SQL: UPDATE realmlist SET realmflags = realmflags & ~(2) , population = 0 realmbuilds = '11723 ' WHERE id = '1'

    . . .

i think this is setting my realmflag to 2 which is offline and not letting me connect. how do i change this?
