Great guide, Everything installed fine, i'm using debian. got the mysql databases up. everything thing seems to be fine on server side, i have my ports forwarded (3306,3724,8085) TCP and UDP to my server comp. but my client seems to lag out... idk why. i'll cast a skill, and i see the server receiving it, but my client just stays stuck, i can move around and all, but i cant cast or talk to quest givers anyone gotta a idea why?

Could this be because i am getting 1-3 ping?

When you compile mangos it makes a folder called BIN in the root of your mangos directory, copy the files from there into the directory you run your server from NOTE ONLY AN EXAMPLE: C:\\Dev\\Mangos\\Bin\\ to Z:\\Mangos

Your close bud just make sure of this

That you wow Client is 3.3.0a [11159]

Go into the contrib folder and get the "new" ad.exe, the ones you used in the past wont work.

replace the dbc/map files with the ones you get from your new ad.exe and you should be set

from the sql/updates folders and the 8995 would be the enxt update to apply

My thoughts:

I'm assuming your level 80, and if you do .level -80, that would make you level 0. and i dont belive you can be level 0

Hi, I have managed to get to the point were i am setting up the database. i have followed the instructions, however when i run mangos.exe i get this error:

i believe this means i need to update some parts of the database, however i am unsure what files i need for the update.?

Once thats done, Apply all sql updates for mangos after the db version you have (everything after 8994 i belive)

Hey guys, i've just updated my mangos to the 3.3.0a client. and i was wondering, the gear that was released in 3.3.0a, how would i get that into my server. it seems to not have came with the update or i did something wrong. thanks in advance

Thanks for the guide but I got a problem: if I want to run mangosd.exe it open the dosbox but it close in 0.5 sec. I have used prt sc and it say that it cannot find "mangosd.conf" , realm.exe works properly.

I have do everything good and I can connect to the database with sqlyog so that can't be the problem.

plz help me.

The language of git is decided by the locale of your system. only way changing it is changing you locale, location, and language.

When I was installing MySQL server, when it asks you about the password, I introduced mangos as it is said in the guide. But when I run it, I get this message (even without firewall):

Error Nr. 1045

Access denied for user'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

So, I did not chose the option "Modify Security Settings" and it was completed succesfully.

When configuring SQLyog Connection, I did not introduce any password and it finished correctly.

The problem comes again when modifying mangosd.conf and realmd.conf. I leave the fields like this:

LoginDatabaseInfo = "localhost;3306;root;;realmd"

WorldDatabaseInfo = "localhost;3306;root;;mangos"

CharacterDatabaseInfo = "localhost;3306;root;;characters"

And I get the same error as above when runnig mangosd.exe and realmd.exe. So my question is: how do I leave the above fields so the program knows that I'm not using any password? If that is not possible, what am I doing wrong?

Should be

Someone can rewrite this guide? Many things changed, some things dont understand and could be more explanations.

The guide is still up to date, just when it comes to updateing the database it's a little off, Download the UDB from the link, import it into your database, once that is done, import any of the .sql files in your updates folder past your revision, so if you got 7439(made up) do all past that. then you'll be good to go.:lol:

The guide is very good until updateing the mySQL files imho i have got the server running sweeet on localhost. working on opening my ports so it can be accessed by others. is there anymore steps i need to follow to get that done, change the bindip? change localhost to my ip?
