Tools and Editors

Hello everyone,

I've been out of the game for far too long, and I came back to help a friend with his server.

Now there used to be a couple of tools that would help in creating fixes and patches.

Here's what I'm looking for:

1. There used to be a Quest Editor that would enable us to edit quests, NPCs related to the quest, prerequisites, follow ups, link quests between each other, awards, and even create custom quests.

2. Another tool used to download the loot tables from wowhead, and create a sql script to update and adjust the ones in the database.

3. And one last question: Besides UDB and YTDB, what are the databases available for mangos? And anyone knows a good comparison guide for these?

I tried searching the forum with all the possible keywords, and nothing so far...

Any of you know some other tools, or maybe even a guide, to fix stuff arround?

You most likely think of quice

DBs:

UDB very correct, a bit slower than YTDB

YTDB very much doable, but more weaknesses than UDB

SQL Parser: some php script, I think you should look around in the DB forums for such thing

Yeah it is quice, i just completely blanked on the name

And yeah i completely agree with you on the notepad++, it's just that i haven't touched a db for a couple of years now so...
