Grouping Up / Party Breaks Heroic

we are having a little trouble with our heroic runs. when i enter a dungeon by myself with instances set to heroic everything works fine, the skull is there, the inside is heroish. however, the moment i inv a second person ( or more ) to form a group everybody elses instance settings are put back to normal, and the dungeons are normal to all of us. we cant figure out where the failure could be / what the reason is and/or how to fix it.

if anybody got a way out of this, would be an awsome help. wow without heroics/the epics and badges you want from them feels kind of wrong (:
