You know what would be a really cool idea for next year's Software Freedom Day? Having commercial companies join in with the open source groups. Perhaps they could randomly choose e-mail addresses and then offer those people free copies of popular titles.

It would be great if things were more like they were in the early days of home computing, everyone feeling like they're all part of the same club with a love for computers as the common bond instead of just merely money.
