How to autostart on linux

I recently installed MaNGOS on Ubuntu Linux (8.04) but I start MaNGOS through SSH but when I close the SSH connection it also closes mangos I need for mangos to stay opened whilst closing SSH, and when I reboot the VPS it autostarts mangos
