can i make maps without ad.exe?just use the soft "mpqediten"?

error always with me,when used ad.exe.

You can not create the map files without the ad tool.

If you want to get help, provide a copy of the error message you get. Without it, no chance

when i used the ad,it give me a message:

detecte locale:zhcn

opening ./data/zhcn/locale-encn.mpq

...

...

extracting dbc files...

then the window closed.

there is a the DBC folder,with 172MB files.no maps folder.

Since you're talking about ad.exe,

I beleve your'e using a version of Windows.

Open the windows console,

move to where your ad.exe is located,

and run it.

There should be some error messages,

and the console window will not close automaticly.

Now, what do you see?

the map.dbc is just 42KB.

It's Chinese locale problem, when trying to extracting map, it shows "Fatal error: Invalid component.wow-zhCN.txt file format" in console after opening few .mpq files.

Guess ad only support english client for the time being?

It's Chinese locale problem..You can see patch2-zhCN.mpq have 8 fileds,but others only7,patch1-zhCN.mpq have 7,others 6..

If you want to extract this,only to change the AD project codes..

It is too hard to me,maybe VladimirMangos or Lynx3d can help..

If is there much explain about the code,

is there any Other methods to discuss,for example MSN?
