Patching

Hey guys, i was a bit unsecure about howto install a patch like ahbot. is it just

~# git am ahbot.patch

?

Anyway i'll get errors like 'Patch format detection failed' or something like 'wrong version'. So i need some guidance here.

You can also use "git apply patchname.patch", everything else like wrong format oder version should be a problem of the specific patch and its builders, so you must ask in their specific forum or threat.
