Restoring characters, need help

Hello!

I did a complete system reinstall and I had to reinstall my WoW server all the way up, including database. Earlier I did characters database backups which I applied after the reinstall, but I did not do realmd backups, which seems to be important because account data gets stored there too... Is there a way to bring my characters back without my old realmd database? And also, what MySQL versions does MaNGOS support? I am currently using 5.1.48 but it seems to constantly freeze my computer so I want to update it to a newer version.

`characters` table store `account` ids only so you can if create new account with same id restore access to account characters, but any info about account id linked with account name stored in realmd DB so can be recreated only manually.
