UDB Updates

Hello everyone, I am quite new to the MaNGOS project. I recently migrated from ArcEmu after deciding the quality of that emulator was sub-par. I read a few guides on installing MaNGOS, and they all pointed out UDB. I've installed the big .sql file that comes with the SVN download, but do I install all the core updates and then all the update packs? Or do I have to do the core update and then the update pack for the same cache version. Also, will python scripts work correctly to update from the version UDB leaves off at?

You need to apply the core pack, then the update pack for all the next UDB updates (i.e. if you installed the 393 full update then you need to install 394 core patch and then 394 update pack, then 395 core patch, then 395 update pack, etc). The python scripts should work once you are done installing all the updates.
