mangos emulator used for private server

mangos is constructed through reverse engineering ,so i am wondering whether it is legal to deploy private server on ethernet for commercial goals ?

As long as it concerns the mangos server, you can use it any way you want, since it is licensed by the terms of the GPL.

But: if you use a client by Blizzard Entertainment to connect to it, instead of a self-built client like PseuWoW, usage is not legal. It does not matter if commercial or private, since you may not use it unless you connect to Blizzard Entertainment servers.

Also note that the mangos team does not provide support for public servers.
