  1. Not supported as in now allowed to discuss it? I assumed something like this wouldn't be official and wouldn't be part of the actual MaNGOS project, but why not allow people to discuss it and work on it on their own? Isn't MaNGOS supposed to be a learning project?
  2. How would I go about adding Cataclysm spells, models, etc, etc, to my server DB? There was a leak of the Alpha client and an Alpha SandBox. How would I go about adding all of that to my server? Link: - removed - The links on that page aren't mine so I don't claim them to be virus free... My scanner didn't catch anything though and I would assume them to be fine.
  3. So a problem with my Mangos database means I would have to reapply the most recent Corepatch? The most recent Updatepack? Or do I need to scrap the entire database?
  4. Updated to newest ACID, so Uld 25 isn't empty now. Still need help with those error messages though.
  5. I was under the impression that "FULL RELEASE FOR 3.3.2 and 3.3.0a CLIENTS" meant that all the content up to that point was scripted. But anyway, is there somewhere I can go to download scripted encounters for these instances? I assume the SD2 forums would be the best place since the SD2 team is also in charge of ACID. (right?) If so, that would also be the place to go to learn to do it myself.
  6. The edit button won't work for me, so I'm putting this in a reply. I can enter every instance in the game except for ToC (10 or 25) and ICC (10 or 25). Nothing happens when I go through the portal. I can enter Naxx, OS, etc on 10 and 25. But if I enter Ulduar on 25 man, there are no NPCs. None of the NPCs in Ulduar (10 or 25) have any working scripts, so I am unable to start even the FL encounter. I can talk to the NPCs, but they just say "Hello, <Name>." There are no interactions available.
  7. I ran my server last night for the first time and things seemed to be working, but there were several problems. When I attempted to spawn various items, I got an error stating the item (itemID?) did not exist. I was not able to learn various skills such as Flight Form, even with the appropriate riding skill/money/level. When I attempted to learn spells via .learn all command, I received error messages for the vast majority of spells stating that the spell did not exist. Many NPCs did not path correctly. I was able to enter 5 man instances, but was not able to initialize any dialogues or initiate any scripted encounters (ie ToC 5 man). I was however able to interact with trainers to learn [most] new abilities. I was not able to enter any Northrend raids, even while in a raid group. Running into raid portals simply did nothing (I tried ToC and ICC on reg 25 man). I did not receive any error messages such as "There is no ____ difficulty for this dungeon" or "You have not unlocked the _____ version of this dungeon yet." I tried to enter Sunwell with raid difficulty set to 25 player, but got an error message "There is no heroic difficulty setting available for this dungeon". But when I set Raid Difficulty to 10 player, I was able to enter. I was not able to initialize any scripted encounters/events inside Sunwell. I noticed inside Sunwell there were random NPCs with names such as "NPC_NO_THREAT_TABLE" or inside M'uru's room NPCS with names like "NPC_SPAWN_VOID_SENTINEL_HERE". All of these NPCs had the default Fel Infernal model. After .tele'ing to Durotar, I believe I noticed several more similar NPCs, but I could have been delusional at 4 AM. Several NPCs, such as the Ymirheim Defender would attack normally when approached or attacked. But others, such as the elites that patrol the ramparts do not even respond to attacks. Now today upon launching my server, there were a ton of error messages: 2009-04-29 20:54:47 Table `gameobject` have gameobject (GUID: 82933 Entry: 201848) with invalid coordinates, skip 2009-04-29 8. Also, from what I understand, the "UDB_0.12.0_mangos_9582_SD2_1639.sql" I downloaded from http://unifieddb.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/unifieddb/trunk/Full_DB/ is a compound version of all the "XXXX_NN_database_table.sql" files combined. Correct? But then what are the "390_corepatch_mangos_9631_to_9763.sql" files I downloaded? Do they simply restructure all of my tables (opposed to populating them)? Do I need to apply them sequentially as well? If the latest UDB version is 9582, do I need to apply "389_corepatch_mangos_9583_to_9630.sql" and then "390_corepatch_mangos_9631_to_9763.sql"? And what are the "390_updatepack_mangos.sql" files? A compilation of the "XXXX_NN_database_table.sql" files? A lot of things make more sense, but I still don't know what the majority of the files are or what they do.
  9. IMMENSELY USEFUL. I've had no prior experience with any Databases but this cleared up all the questions I had. Please sticky this.
  10. Yep Shock, I have the same problems and the same questions. I've tried installing every comination of the update packs in every order conceivable all with similar errors below the query box and all with the same error when I try to start the server. I've read all the recent threads and posts in this forum, including all 3 windows installation guides and the FAQ, but none of them are of any use trying to resolve this issue contrary to what all the "experienced" users seem to believe.
  11. Hmm, strange. I'm positive I moved those files when I got to that step, but the .exe .dll and .pdb files were still in the wrong place. Either way I manually moved them and they seem to be launching now. I'm still getting an error: SQL: SELECT required_9794_mangos_command FROM db_version LIMIT 1 query ERROR: Unknown column 'required_9794_02_mangos_command' in 'field list' Table 'db_version' have field 'required_9539_01_mangos_spell_bonus_data' but expected 'required_9794_02_mangos_command'! Not all sql updates applied? I tried updating all the mentioned files, then tried updating the corepatch files, then tried updating the updatepack files, then tried updating all of them, and nothing seems to be working.
  12. After following the guide 100%, I get to step 18, which says "• Launch C:\\Mangos\\realmd.exe and C:\\Mangos\\mangosd.exe." But my realmd.exe and mangosd.exe are both in C:\\Mangos\\bin\\Win32_Release. So I continued on until Part 20 - Running Your Server. It tells me to launch realmd.exe and mangosd.exe, but all that happens is the black console window pops up for half a second (not even long enough to read what it says) and closes again. Nothing else. Something obviously did not work correctly. P.S. Do I set my realmlist.wtf (inside my client folder) to my computer/LAN IP or to my router IP? (While running both the client and the server from the same machine)
