  1. Confirming, kind of. Mangos Revision: 10054 (No custom modding/patchwork) SD2 Revision: 1737 System: Gentoo Linux, Q6600 P4, 2GB Ram, etc. If WSG is set to trigger at 5 per team, even if there are more than 5 players per team (in this example there were 7AF and 8HF) we still get the insufficient players notice, and it states the game will be ending in some 16 hours. Additionally, the AF/HF WSG flags seem to be randomly dropped by players, though I cannot determne what causes them to be dropped.
  2. Wait 4-6 months after 4.x.x's actual release. There are too many dramatic changes in 4.x.x to expect support overnight, especially for an early pre-release client in which things are not yet finalized. Or if you want to use MaNGOS to explore a 4.x.x environment, create an updated ad.exe for 4.x.x dbc/map file creation. The rest should be obvious.
  3. Please bear in mind that while both teams have the flag of the opposing team, after 10 minutes without a Flag return or capture, Flag Carrying PCs should be recieving the debuff Focused Assault (#46392), and after 15 minutes they should be recieving the debuff Brutal Assault (#46393). This information can be found in the "General Info" point-section on the WoW site. Without the inclusion of these debuffs, I fear that many WSG matches will end at 0-0 under a 25m timer.
  4. Player character factions are hard-coded based on race. AF races will always appear AF and HF races will always appear HF regardless of any server code. It is possible to meddle with the reputation values for each race or via quest as you suggest (to do things such as making the Stormwind Faction friendly or HF PCs) but PCs will always innately belong to either AF or HF. This is not an issue for NPC relations, but is always apparent between PCs. The only way to achieve an actual 3rd faction would be via client-side modding, and even then you wouldn't be able to have it done via quest, but would have to designate certain races as belonging to that faction right from the start. This is a terrible solution and I do not advise it.
  5. I am curious. Is it possible to make a web display for the number of users currently queued for battlegrounds/arena? Sort of like "Warsong Gulch - A: 5/10 H: 7/10" If I knew where the current queue count was stored, I might be able to cobble something together, but I have no clue, so I'm not even sure it's possible.
