• we use a random question upon registration, as I have written a module for that myself a while ago. It just might need more questions and answers to make it more "random".

Different topic. Please do not hyjack threads for different topics. Besides, there is a configuration setting in mangosd.conf for what your want to achieve. mangos already can apply configured Xp rates.

It's slowly being merged branch by branch, as mentioned a few posts before.

Less merging and more unified work between the projects should rather increase the speed, since there is less double work done.

We will start to merge mmaps into the core soon.

Since there seems to be constant trouble with UDB, I would offer to supply a constant, stable home in terms of hosting if that would help.

Names can be changed if that is an issue, and things exclusive to TBC can still be done by those who prefer TBC over other branches. That shouldn't be an issue.

mangos-one and mangos-zero have been moved into their own github organizations along with the required scripting and database repositories for the specific branch.

Both github.com/mangos/one and github.com/mangos/zero have been replaced with repositories finely crafted by Captain Placeholder revealing where the new repositories and their mates are.

The intention is to provide one spot for the user to go to in case he/she is looking for code, help, etc. We're not trying to fork scripting or database development, we're just trying to bundle that since it seems to trouble many users where to find that stuff.

We're trying to make the project a little more usable, and accessible.

I'll talk with a few people. It's been a long time, and perhaps it may be a time to make some take a step back and start going to new directions for the project in general.

We're effectively having a break to get some rest. No need to panic, we're no robots, and sometimes we need sleep, too.

It depends. People tend to hand out wrong mail addresses to get forum accounts, and we receive bad spam ratings for each time people then use password reminders and such.

Besides tons of people have tagged us as spam according to the usual spam blacklists, which pretty much sucks.

the mangos community should make it easier to create funservers in mangos than in arcemu. i really do prefer servers based on pure mangos.

This is probably a misunderstanding. As Drevan nicely quoted this project is not here to supply people with easy fun servers but with a platform to learn cool things about development of such servers. People who want fun servers should IMHO stay away from the MaNGOS community. We can and do not want to help them.

We'll be using a different tool to send forum mails in the upcoming weeks.

Sadly the mail issue is nothing easily fixed and will cost my money to fix it
