  1. Was just a thought...a fleeting one grant you, but at least trying to use n00b braincells here.
  2. I was refering to installing from the dvd, then running ad.exe on the installed folders afterwards. Thanks for correcting.
  3. I was just trying to figure out if there was a common source of possible error that might be causing alot of the DK quest to not work, and the first place that I thought about was the ad.exe possibly not decoding parts of the WotLK dvd correctly. That maybe there were some exta data not making into the dbc folder. After all, most of Northrend works, excluding the vehicle ones. Thanks for the input.
  4. That's what I am wondering about. WotLK has regular areas in it like the othe two releases, so that would perform as usual, but it also has a different way of starting a character as compared to the earlier versions. Wouldn't that mean there would be different code involved as well? Code which Ad.exe may not be able to phathom due to it being written to extract info in the form of the earlier releases. I just think that having a different way of doing something on the 3rd release may have messed up something in Ad.exe's ability to extract the info. You know, something ad.exe was not prepared for and it may have gotten overlooked. I don't know, I'm new to all this...lol...so thanks for bearing with me as I lean more.
  5. Is it possible that all of the DK quests that I've been reading about not working properly, could be due to Ad.exe not reading the DVD/CD's for WotLK properly? Starting at level one maps is for the most part working properly, which would be mainly the original WoW and TBC cd/dvd's, but starting at level 55 seems to screw up, which is only on WotLK. So it makes me wonder about the dbc folder that gets built is built correctly for WotLK. I am just curious and trying to expand my knowledge. Can I get a mod or admin to move this to General Discussion...that's where I had intended for it to go.
  6. Ahhh...ok...so UDB base goes in first, then patch and update with the UDB corepatches and updates. Then do the mangos patching to the db afterwards. Thanks for clearing that up for me Mango.
  7. OK, just want to be positive before I screw up...lol. I have UDB 0.12.1 (393) for MaNGOS 10545 with SD2 SQL for rev. 1833 showing as my version in my mangos' table db_version. For my mangos data I last updated to 'required_11385_01_mangos_creature_template'. Now those are 2 different things all together right?
  8. Sorry for the confusion....I sometimes forget how old post can be on forums. Nicely done antiroot. Compiled with no trouble, and ran just fine. Spooked me at first startup though, wasn't expecting the mangosd console to talk back with so much. It was loading items for a good 5 minutes...lol Thanks for the prog.
  9. Cool! Thanks. It's the very first post. There's a link to a http file download site...it has all kinds of pop-ups and so on.
  10. Who the hell your talking to? Use github and create your own patch files. Yours Skirnir I did use git to get it, and when I tried the git bash on it it came up with 2 errors. 'patch failed: src/game/Mail.cpp:1002' 'src/game/Mail.cpp: patch does not apply' And have also searched in here and found a thread with the same problem. Still no excuse to place a patch on a site like that.
  11. OMG!!!! Could you have found a worse place to park that patch!?!?!? That place is so full of pop-ups and syrveys and everything else under the sun to keep you AWAY from the file!
