Mangos does not provide or support any items, especially not selfmade items. Contact the additional DB forum like UDB for further information about inserting new items.

As I observed this is a problem based on the distance between the character and the item/chest/creature. If this happens, you are near enough to use whatever, but not near enough for the loot window. Maybe its something with "where distance < x" and "where distance <= x" for the possibility to use and to open the loot window.

I think this was a bug in a revision a few month ago, so the easiest way to avoid this in future is to update your core. And of course if you want to be more sensetive than shutdown the server an deleting several entries in your database, use the ".instance" command.

I heard something for downgrading through deleting the "patch.mpg" in the \\data\\ folder from client, followed by using the repair program, but I never tried this, but the easiest way should be to reinstall and stop updating with the launcher at the needed version. At the installer I used nearly a year ago, I could select to install only classic, classic + BC or Classic, BC and WotLK. Maybe the newest installer also provide this system with cataclysm added, this could make it easier to install just the WotLK Client @ 3.3.5a, but I not tested this yet.

First of all, get sure you are using client 3.3.5a, not a 4.whatever. If you do so, it is mayby an error in your client, try to repair the client by the repair.exe and then start the ad.exe again.

First you can try to activate the RA console. When you can connect to server with RA from your gaming PC, you know that it is not a server application or firewall problem. You can also try to rename the WTF folder in the client for recreating it when start the client, because the server adress will also be stored there.

As my opinion, a GM should only work as invisible and unattackable (gm on & gm visible off). Cheating through the game or feeding the ego with a "superchar" will be boring after a few hours, an unequipt level 1 char is everything you need for a regular GM job. Well, its also seems useless to create some "god items", modify the core for makeing them "normal" and as a side effect, making the 99% other equiment as crap. If you still wants to do this, its just a assumption, take a look at the DBC files, maybe they must be modified at server and Client for doing this. Short version: Yes it is. Long version: For doing this without any experience in compiling, manage databases, etc, you are here wrong. The easiest way would be to find a existing server or a repack of core and databases, premodified for your wishes, e.g. an instant 80 Server with T7 start equipment. Both is not allowed to spread here, but there are many other forums which hosting informations and repacks for doing this. As a personal hint, you properly will not have fun with the game when you start as superman and kill the last boss with 1 key.

There are missing some data in your mangos DB. The EventAI is related to the additional database (most ACID @ UDB), so its properly not a mangos fault. First thing I would try is to (re)insert the latest ACID sql into the mangos DB.

Tested again on mangos 10721, UDB 0.12.1 @ 394, SD2 1863. The quest is working fine, so the mangos part for this quest must be ok. If the prisoner becomes unselectable and unfightable, I think it should be a problem with a third-parity-script. If you also using a actual ScriptDev2, maybe try to download again and recompile, it should work for month.

Let me guess you are running around in GM Mode. The quest works fine since many month.

First of all, you only need the applications and the dll files, the other files are only used while compiling and now worthless, delete them for keeping the overview. The config file must be placed in the same dictionary as the application, in your case "C:\\Mangos\\bin\\Win32_Release\\". Further, if you extract the dbcs, maps and vmaps, the created folder with the specific names must also pe placed in the folder from the application, except you declare a "DataDir" in the mangosd.conf.

You kidding? 3.3.5a is the master branch, 2.4.3 is avaible with the "mangos-0.12" branch. Mangoszero, the 1.12.1 project, is a selfmade project which is not supported by the official mangos team.

The RA console is the Remote Admin console, you can connect to your running realm with a tool like putty, using the RAW protocol, regulary on port 3443, each realm with its own port. But you need to activate this first in the realm specific mangosd.conf. You can reset a password with the "account set password" command in the realm console. The specific syntax will be shown when you enter the phrase.

Have all of you tried the simplest way to solve? apt-get upgrade & apt-get update & reboot?

psymtab is for "partial symbol table". If you say there a some modifications, it could may be a problem with something like "cheated gm weapons", specific for the ingame pictures.

Seeing this let me guess you are using a repack, modified and compiled by somebody else. Its nearly inpossible to say why a server crash when someone has changed something without any documentation. Also, the mangos team cannot afford the time to analyse and fix the errors made by independent repackers.

As the function from the vendor NPC is working probably, this must be an error from the specific database (e.g. UDB), which will not be supported by the mangos team. Please notice, that this is the developer forum for the core application written in C++, made from and for software developer, not a "newbie tutorial collection". There are many great websites who helps to find a way into the world of mangos an other related projects like UDB oder SD2. As a tip for the solve the DB error, the class trainer needs the specific gossip entry linked with the script for teaching the dual spec.

The question is, will a IRC channel really be useful? What probably will happen is that hundreds of beginners will join, ignoring any tutorial, FAQ or thread they can found here and in many other mangos related forum, querry peoply like Vladimir who having op an start asking thing like "how should I start" oder "can you help me with that sql error" and so on. At this moment, I can not see any usement of a irc channel.
