It's not problem to use macros, but it's anoying to have 2 buttons for one spell.
I don't want to call pet every time I cast a trap. So I have to use 1 button for trap and another 1 for macroed trap.
And I don't think there is a macro to stop pet's attack in the same moment when someone polymorf my pet's target.
Simply it's a bug so I reported it. Maybe some dev will look for solution ;-)

This is not changed. If you tell the pet to attack, it will attack, no matter whether the mob is CC or not.Also, I think I read somewhere that if you tell the Pet to attack a crowd controlled monster. Is this still the case, or was that changed also?I also find that pet still attacks when the target is under some kind of CC. It attacks rooted of feared mobs. I believe that spells where is written " Damage caused MAY interrupt the effect" don't make the pet not attacking

Hi, my first post here. Sory for incorrrect bug report style, but this bug is as old as MaNGOS, I think. I didn't find any report yet.
Problem is that pets break crowd control effects on his target. This example shows how should hunter's pet behave with freezing trap.
How it SHOULD work:
pet PASSIVE:
pet is attacking mob - cast freezing trap - mob is catched - pet stops attacking and come to me. When the trap is over, pet stays with me not attacking
pet DEFENSE:
pet is attacking mob - cast freezing trap - mob is catched - pet stops attacking and come to me. When the trap is over, pet starts attacking mob again
pet AGGRESIVE:
pet is attacking mob - cast freezing trap - mob is catched - pet stops attacking and stays next to mob. When the trap is over, pet starts attacking mob again
It should works the same way with another crowd control effects which can be broken by damage (vywern sting, scatter shot, rogue's blind etc...) I'm not sure about other classes pets but I guess it should work like hunter's one
How it DOES work
Pet attacks mobs and players under all CC effects - so crowd controling is very hard without precisely controled pet.
