hehe u complicating things a bit, why combine the 2 databases. he should just look in the sql folder from mangos find every date_number_item_template.sql and apply to database, if he doesn't know what version core his db is compatible with. And if he can't apply em just edit em by deleting first row "ALTER TABLE db_version CHANGE COLUMN required_2008_12_22_01_mangos_creature_equip_template required_2008_12_22_03_mangos_item_template bit;" sth like this one

well none of the devs says more, but works with wotlk too, and from what i saw the ad.exe(extractor) looks for the new expansion too. double post sry... can't delete my post ..

it's not a problem if the table exists or not. The table just doesn't have the right format.

yeah the order of installing them is important but u should check some forums abt how to update database, from database providers forums, UDB has some for that, there might be some even here haven't searched though.
