I've only done incidental testing as part of normal gameplay. Happens with Light Leather and Cured Light Hide. Does not seem to happen with cooked food or bandages.
I don't recall exactly how the 'Made by' tag worked in vanilla, but it obviously shouldn't appear on stackable items. Maybe only on equipment.
