Trying to run realmd.exe and it requires SSLEAY32.dll but cannot find it

Chris Wake

Question

Hello and thank you in advance to anyone who can assist.

I have followed the EasyBuild guide and everything has gone relatively smoothly. Am up to the stage of the guide where it is time to run realmd.exe and it (nor mangsd.exe) would work as libcrypto-1_1-x64.dll was not found. After searching I read that I needed to copy the dll from the openSSL-64 folder in C:\ (something the guide didn't mention needing to do).

After that it came up with another, similar error asking for SSLEAY32.dll which I cannot find anywhere and the latest verion/s of openSSL do not include it, nor can I find a copy in previous versions.

Is anyone able to advise what I need to do to get past this issue?

Many thanks!

Use EZ BUILD, get VS 2017 Community. MariaDB. Use EZ Build, compile the x64.

It will now ask for libcrypto-1_1-x64.dll which you now have. Copy/pasta to MANGOS DIRECTORY. Run server.

The pre-built's for ZERO DO NOT WORK FOR x64
