Hello!

I installed serverZero, created a GM account. Now I want to test different game mechanics and I need:
    item vendors (quick character equipment)
some kind of training dummy (test damage, healing...)

What do you do in such cases?

I know someone is creating DB scripts for this, but are there any built-in stuff?
I would be grateful for the link to the tutorial and good sql scripts.

Hey!
I adapted an ItemMall for MangosOne that was for a different emulator project.

You're welcome to take it, and change the locations if you don't want it taking up Tyr's Hand (since it's likely needed for quests in M0), change the items and types of mines, etc. to match it for M0.

If you do adjust it for M0, it would be great if you could fork and share the results as well. :)

For this kind of testing, I’d definitely try to keep the setup as lightweight as possible. A simple vendor with commonly used gear plus a reusable training dummy can save a huge amount of time when you’re tweaking mechanics. If there are built-in GM commands or test objects in serverZero, those would probably be my first choice before adding custom SQL. Documentation is usually worth checking too, since community scripts can vary a lot in compatibility. On a different note, I’ve found OddsWingMen’s horse racing section pretty handy for quick betting research: betting in Ireland

thanks for the information!
