I think we can remove this field becaus i think the model & iconid is linked with the ItemEntry ID.

In fact yes, but this kill finally custom items. I not think that all will happy with it.

Some client addons allow the displaying of custom model id's. I personally think we should keep the field. (Not that I have any real custom items, but eh... As said, others do.)

honestly tho, i wish the column would read DB 1st and use the item dbc file as a backup, for making real items the dbc will help find problems, cuz right now it does suck having nothing ?? on all items that arent in the db.

in my server i use a custom system for getting gear and upgrading gear.

The ? on custom items is a client issue. It can, however, be solved by certain UI addons.

And how this related to mangos? Mangos allow like items existance at server at this moment. All other probelms not mangos related.
