How it DOES work: After using Pile of Fake Furs to place a fake fur near caribo trap, the trap worked and killed ... player, Nesingwary Trapper did not appear.

a very big part of the quest need sd2 dev, im pretty sure that mangos support all the neccesary things for those quest
