Hello!

Today i've been invited to change my password.

I know that security is important but

password policies everywhere are boring.

I don't know how many passwords i have to manage

but it is a disaster.

Well, this is not about us. Password security is about you. How quick should people get hold of your email address, who you are, and probably whats on your mail account?

I could disable that feature, but IMHO its not too hard. If you're on Linux, or Gnome/KDE user, there are pretty awesome password managers, that even generate fresh ones for you. Try it. I e.g. do use a combination of Gnome Seahorse, and my beloved Moleskin booklet for recording where I have stuff :)

It seems like a pretty pointless feature. More frequent passwords only leads to more forgotten passwords, and simpler and less secure passwords, defeating the purpose of the system entirely. It has no effect on bruteforce hacks and keyloggers, and simpler passwords means easier to guess passwords.
