Dynamic IP connect

I'm pretty sure I have a dynamic IP, however I haven't found any guides on setting my IP so a guest can connect (I've forwarded ports already).

All help is appreciated,

Sorry if this is a stupid question (I don't know what I'm doing :\\), I'm confused and haven't found an answer for what I've been looking for for the past two hours, please help.

You don't "set your IP", your IP is whatever your ISP gives you. It can change when you reset your internet connection, you can use something like dyndns.org to make one address for users to connect to (and don't forget to set realmlist to dyndns address if you use it)

I meant 'set' it for the server, as in realmlist,

is there anyway to do it without a dyndns address?

So my realmlist would appear:

set realmlist 'IP'

not

set realmlist 'dyndns host name'

There is a way how to do this on a Linux/Unix box - make a cronjob (or dhclient hook script) that will check for current IP address and if it's different than the last one, it updates realmd.realmlist and re-starts mangos-realmd.

The other part is to set-up a dyndns service that will periodically check for your IP address and if it differs from the last one, it automatically updates your DNS entry. It's not mandatory, but - unless you want your users to change realmlist.wtf several times a day - it's worth it.
