MaNGOS Ver 11366

UDB 400

SD2 recentish

What is happening: The Aura is removed and reapplied without damaging the enemy

What should happen: DAMAGE!

Example spell id: 40980

Way to reproduce:

go near (20y) a mob, do gm off

.cast self 40980 onto the mob and let him aggro (like with .dam 1)

when the mob reached you, aura 40980 is applied and removed and applied and removed and so on - without actually hurting

More Bug-Report:

the main problem is, that the DAMage noted in the last time-sequences is not happening

If memory serves this bug is older, I thought I pokes vladimir about it, but could not find this in my irc log

I started to work on Supremus about March 20th, and I think this bug existed there

Just checked the script today, and then reported

ok, bug related as i understand to unclear case how dynobjects and related persistent auras must work.

If same caster cast same persistent area aura spell then what happens:

a) both dynobject and auras stacked at target

b) both dynobjects exist but single aura applied form 2 dynobjects from same caster

c) old dynobject removed and replaced by new dynobject.

This is impossibility test for normal persistence auras: all player directly casted persistent area auras have cooldown >= time of persistent effect at area.

Provided spell ( 40980 ) cast persistent aura auras more often that old expire.

Without (a-c) selection impossible correctly fix problem.

Just to note: c) is not happening, I have sources of multiple dynobjects of same caster/spell in same time

I think we would know if a) happens from visual effects (multiple icons), hence my guess would be b) but for this I have no proof :(
