If you got a powerful CPU (Rather have high frequency then many cores, until mangos is fully multithreaded)

Yes you can hold many players, if you got a badass machine you could even implent pathfinding and it wont lag, im running (only me) on ~3% with mmaps and vmaps.

And there aint really any specifications to brag about on that hardware

Well I had a change of heard, I now love Mangos even tho I hated it for 4 years. I would love it more if I know what the stable population for mangos-one is. I'm hoping its over 2k. Thx.

Well well, then you cannot optimize anything, you will never get a high populated server running windows.

On *nix You will be able to host many players, so consider switching or just live with the bottleneck (windows)
