Looking for the right ad.exe

Hello,

I'm trying to set-up a MANGoS server on patch 1.12.1 Vanilla WoW, however, I can't seem to find the right ad.exe. I've tried to look on various different tutorials and either the link is broken or when I go to get the maps it only copies like 100mb of maps when really there should be approximately 700mb worth of maps. Anyone know where I can find the ad.exe binary file for 1.12.1? Thanks

You have to build it. It comes in the sources you got. It builds for Visual Studio 2008 and 2010 by default. The ones you find online that are prebuilt will not work with your custom copy.

It should be in the mangos > contrib folder somewhere.

Maps for TBC is only 168mb so I don't see how a 1.12 server would have 700mb worth of maps.

only if use old outdated ad.exe from time when old .map files formal has been used.
