This is what it says under help in my SQLyog

Syntax: .npc subname $Name Change the subname of the selected creature or player to $Name. Command disabled.

On a side note would any one know how to add/delete quest from npc's as well.

Any help or links would be highly appreciated.

Thank;s

The npc still has the same sub name. i even did the .add npc "id" over again just to see if that would help.

Thank you for the reply though.

Edit To This post**

If i go into SQLyog i can make a new "npc" with it's own name etc. how ever i can not change the name or sub name once done.

Thank you for your fast reply but it seems have done nothing. Would there be any way just to enable the command or no?

I did restart the server relmd & world.

delete the cache file

restarted my computer etc....

Still nothing =(

Well, im not sure about the ingame command, did you change in the database? Because that is where you change the name "for ever" i do not thing the gamemaster command changes the database info, which means when you restart the server it is reset again =)

Search in the database for creature entry in creature_questrelation and creature_involvedrelation, these tables are creature's who start quests and creatures that finish quests.

@Senpuria Thank you for your reply about the quest i have had no problems.

@lillecarl I have been in the data base & once i close it & go back to the "name" "subname" they are what i changed it to. how ever in the game its self is still the same.

How ever like i said i can make a new NPC with it's own name/sub but once in i can not change it.

thank you both for taking the time to deal with this.

That's strange,

Like lillecarl said, shut the server down and delete the folder named "cache" from the WoW folder, then restart the server back up and it should have changed to whatever you changed it to in the DB, the only thing I can think of is your not removing your cache properly that's why I suggest it again.

EDIT*** It is working now....!

I was deleting the wrong cache file, i have two wow's installed on my computer i for got the dir of the one i use for mangos "made my own gameLauncher"

Sorry for the headache

On a side note of a side note is there any way to keep the server from making a cache file or no.

No WoW always makes a cache folder to save data to when you log into the game, however if you come across this problem again you will know its the cache so it shouldn't be a problem :)
