4 Cores... 4 Roadmaps

Since there's not currently a "General" sub-forum for discussing overall development, I would like to ask our knowledeable gurus about the future work on the various cores, from Drums Of War all the way to Cataclysm.

In other words, what is known to work correctly and what features still need work for core, database, and scripting? Having such a roadmap for each core could be useful as guides for present and future developers.

One topic for all branches would be to migrate from using libmpq to stormlib. Effectively, libmpq is not maintained anymore while stormlib is.

In common it would also be good to clean up our use of 3rd party libraries to allow for external use of these and have them not as part of the core, and stop maintaining them as part of mangos.

Thank you for providing a useful and precise answer. Looks like there's some heavy lifting to be done with just those libraries.

Anyone else wish to follow TheLuda's example and help build a list for each of the cores?
