concerning the client switch...

So, i cant say im exactly happy about the client switch to 3.0.

I was hoping mangos would get to a 100% working BC server before making the switch. Because I'm sure now there are hundreds of bugs since they've made the switch.

But I just have a small question. what is the last rev to support the BC client? and what was the last UDB file to support it?

Or I guess I could always just use the 3.0 client, but set the level cap to 70, and then disable the flights to northrend.

I'm just not sure, what are other people doing? I'd like to keep my test server up, but i don't want people getting into unfinished content.

Basically im just looking for suggestions on keeping my testers only in the BC content. since that is whats scripted and finished.

omg. that's awesome. I haven't been around here for a while and i was really concered about them having a really unstable WoTLK and you guys were so close to have a stable and fully scripted TBC server. So, is the TBC server and UDB really still regularly updated? and SD2 and Event ai works fine with it?

sorry, like i said i havent messed around with mangos for a few months.

IMO looks like the best approach might just be to go with the 3.x branch. But like I said just cut off all access to anything WOTLK related. This way any spell fixes and changes my server will get them.

Because like he said looks like only changes will be for crashes.

UDB, at this point in time, has no plans to continue development of a 2.4.3 branch. As far as I know, the last SD2 version to work with 2.4.3 is 812.

This isn't to say that UDB will never continue developing a 2.4.3 branch. There's been talk for a while of resurrecting a 1.12 branch, and at least 1 MaNGOS developer has expressed interest in doing that as well.

However, at this point in time that's all it is- talk. Everyone has more pressing projects with current developments and not focusing on prior versions.
