  1. alexluana, I'm sorry but I'm not sure where you got that information. It is very clear, GMs play the actual game. They have an Interface-AddOn to assist them while doing so. They have systems and programs developed outside of WoW in order to send emails, look up accounts, etc.

I attended BlizzCon '09 and had the chance to see the employees play as GM characters. They do, in fact, have an AddOn which I see them use several times in-game to preform GM-related tasks. They also had the "Bl1zz" icon next to their name when they spoke in chat, raid, etc.

They play the game, but they don't have some entirely different client written for them to assist players. I've had them appear before me in-game before, cast spells, etc.

I can confirm this as I've seen the GM tool they use and it's similar to mangadmin that I wish was updated to 3.2.2a but the latest copy I have crashes on load-up, they also do have outside tools that they can use to aid players accounts but those are mostly for the Business end of things like Payment management, Player Accounting and in or out of game E-Mails.;)

  3. while waiting 'rastikzzz' to make the update, you can to take this:

the updated rastikzzz's vehicle-patch for MaNGOS revision 8590

    download from here: http://filebeam.com/efb83b12b536ff7962be3df28380ea7f

(but now the core supports wow 3.2.2a Live patch)

for 'msysgit' (Git on Windows) use the command:

    patch -p1 < name.patch

and if you see any FAILED, then you need to fix it, before to compile the core.

    thanks 'rastikzzz'

I just tested this on the .14 branch now that it has been supported and it worked like a charm, No git errors and it COMPILED! finally!

  4. i use last msysgit 1.6.4 at win7 and not have like problem with update referecned branches

Check that path to repo dir is not too long, not have spaces and non-latin characters.

Thank you, I do use the same one I did get a crash report finally the debugger finally grabbed it, it looks like it's not passing symbols correctly because the error is devide by zero, no symbols to pass. This error apears when the url is passed to the tcp handler. that's my best approximation for what I'm seeing.

  5. I have been banging my head for a week now trying to figure out why every time I try to Check out a different branch than Origin/Master git completely and totally crashes out...it does this on my Windows Server 2003 and 2008 machines as well. What I'm trying to get is the 320 branch and the 312 so I can start playing around with the code.

Anybody got any ideas how to accomplish this?

  6. The new stuff...? sorry I guess I missed the old stuff? ... It's a lot better than some of the Sourceforge wiki's I've seen and been involved with over the years. Just like all wiki's it's an ever evolving thing and I hope to see what it looks like next year! thank you for all of your hard work it's paying off by what I see in the forums.
