When you're running it on a windows root (for example) you should go into firewall with advanced security (that's how this is called), incoming rule(s), add a new, use port, type in port, next, next, next until name and description shows up. enter name for rule and maybe a description, hit done. Try again to log-in. You can edit this rule as often as you want but for testing...open it for everything. :3 You should also try to use other ports if 8085 (default) isn't working. Be sure to set this in config and database! Please be also sure that you've set in realmlist table under address your external ip not 127.0.0.1 if this is a root-server/open server for friends we're talking about. ;) If you're want to use (for example) login.yourserver.com or whatever you want to use as realmlist, you can set (if you're using a good domain host) a A-Record for forwarding to ip. So people can use login.yourserver.com instead of your external ip. I don't know if MaNGOS supports IP v6 but IP v4 should work well! (For IP v6 forward over AAAA-Record)
