Hey, i have been looking at the different quest levels as well in the lower level area's (example: Northshire abbey, Zone 9). It seems that more quests do not have the right level. For example i checked the "Brotherhood of Thieves" quest has in the SQLyog Req 2, Lvl 4. At Wowhead/Wowwiki - revivions before Oct 2009, it is lvl Req 1 and Lvl 4. So it means there are structural wrong entries. The however the Vanilla Db AoWoW does say req 2, lvl 4. Which source does Mangos rely on?

Jup i can confirm that ingame, when i tried using the value -1 in the mangos.conf (so that all quests would be visible), it didn't work when i walked around with a lvl 60 characters at goldshire.

mhhh but a Paladin starts out with this spell. Every time i log in, it still has 2 times the rank 1 in the spellbook.

I checked some other quests in Dun morogh with a lvl 11 character. Seems that more quests do not show exclamation mark when the quests are in the log green or even yellow. I suppose the "low level tag" for quests (when they become gray in the log and do not show a exclamation mark anymore may be off a couple of levels? I have looked in the quest_template file but there doesn't seem to be such a tag. I suppose its a game mechanic which decides when the quest becomes a too ''low'' level.

I don't think so, only gray quests should be without a exclamation mark. At level 4 this quest still is green.
