  1. Feel free to post your bug report there, here, or (perhaps the best option) make an issue out of it.

    Well I'll just mention it here then. :)

    Cloned from here:

    https://github.com/blueboy/portal

    Added sd2 2751

    So:

    ©mangos 12246

    sd2 2751

    Ytdb 631

    Acid 3.1.0

    Running on win7 x64, compiled win32 release.

    Situation:

    3 Players, each player having 2 bots.

    All ventured to gurubashi arena to test bot for pvp.

    When players started attacking eachother, bots kept passive and didn't go into combat.

    Player X killed player Y.

    Player Y gets the popup to release corpse. In the meantime one of the bots of player Y starts to try and revive his master (bot could since it didn't go into combat).

    Player Y clicked popup (i guess) at the exact same time as bot was finishing his revive.

    Server crashed.

    Hope this is of any help.

  2. It has grown into the one "must-have" core mod that any low-pop server admin would be crazy to pass up.

    Well, can't agree more. :)

    I've only been using it for about a week, but omg, the wife and I are having a blast with the bots along now.

    It's awesome to witness the polish already there.

    So i'd like to give a huge thanks to Blueboy & Kennumen, and all that contributed to this wonderfull core mod!

    Cheers guys! :)

    (edit: Don't seem to recieve the verification email after registering on pbot forums. Would like te report a crash most likely related to pbot.

    Can login, but not start new topic atm.)

  3. Confirmed.

    Oldtimer issue being long present.

    Btw can anyone confirm that wotlk heroics (on blizzard servers) can be entered when you are not level 80 (by being summoned with a warlock summon stone) but do meet the minimum requirement for normal?

    wowwiki:

    Wrath of the Lich King

    This section concerns content exclusive to Wrath of the Lich King.

    With the second expansion, heroic mode was extended to raids. The key requirements were not included on instances, instead heroic mode is available to all players at 80. The token system used in TBC heroics was considered successful, new tokens were added for the various "tiers" of wrath heroics and raids. For example, the same tokens drop in heroic 5-players and the first-tier 10-player raids, while a different token drops in the first tier 25-player raids and second-tier 10-player raids. A third token drops in second-tier 25-player raids, and will presumably drop in the third-tier 10-player raids when implemented.

    Before Patch 3.2.0, Heroic mode raids, unlike their instance counterparts, did not dictate difficulty. Instead 10-player raids were considered "normal" mode, and 25-player raids to be "heroic". Heroic raids are not intended to be "harder" than the 10-player version of the same raid, instead simply tuned for the larger number of players. Heroic raids do still drop higher quality equipment than the normal-mode counterparts, by the logic that it is more difficult to form a good 25-player group. The currency tokens dropped in each mode can be used to buy items of similar quality to the boss-dropped items.

    Patch 3.2.0 did away with this setting, other than showing up in achievements, in favor of the following:

    Dungeon difficulty:

    5-player heroic mode for the Heroic mode instances.

    Raid difficulty:

    10-player heroic mode for the Heroic mode (10-player raid).

    25-player heroic mode for the Heroic mode (25-player raid).

    http://www.wowwiki.com/Heroic_mode

  4. So am I, but could someone please tell me why there is a client-mod necessary?
    Simple, replace the RSA public certificate in client by a one for which we have the private part.

    Raison: The redirect packet (sent by realm containing the world server address) is RSA signed and the client does not accept the packet if the signing is not done with Offy private certificate.

    Last words: RSA is not breakable at this point of time.

  5. this crusdump - from crush in server loading procedure, not from game process.

    Well, if I understand you correctly, something should have gone wrong in server boot up?

    I always keep mangos going for +-14days 24/7 and then shutdown to backup databases.

    So the server ran 7 days (dungeons run, quests done, etcetc) just fine and then, with only 2 players on,

    crash all of a sudden, as described.

    This is the server.log from boot->crash, for the full 7 days.

    Server start looks fine imho, should something be wrong please mention:

    http://pastebin.com/ihwwkYyv

    Or maybe I misunderstood you, and you're actually meaning something went wrong during compile?

    (note: compiled with vs2008 on win7 64-bit in x86 release mode, to run on xp 32 bit (i still gotta ready a dual-boot, but since compiling this way always went fine, i don't see the need for a dualboot setup yet)

    Should any other info be required, i'm all ears. :)

    Only 2 people online when it occured. (mage & druid)

    They were merely flying towards a quest in Dragonblight somewhere iirc.

    Very odd, dunno what caused it since barely any action was going on.

    (maybe related to phasing, cos that seemed acting weird in the area?)

    Last lines of server.log, after 7 days of uptime, looking fine:

  7. Joke. Your must true define problems, before stiky his. No "NPC on transport problem" exists, we has "Transport map" problem. "Better pet support" - may be semantic bad, need full rewrite pet support. "Hooks for Scripting Library for spells" has much more more negative aspects than positive ones.

    Forget multithreading, calendar, etc...

    Well I understand what you're refering to there, but imho, cut Schmoo some slack. :)

    Schmoozerd is marathon-ing from Mangos to UDB to SD2 and back, and I personally think he's doing a lot of good things.

    Also, this topic is very welcome: Giving followers some 'behind the scenes' info, and giving newcomers a brief overview aswell.

    Not offending anyone, just my personal view, from here way in the back rows. :)

  8. Since my tiny family and friends server is nearing it's fourth birthday,

    I decided to stick some clips together again.

    Awesome thanks to everyone here and at related projects for the fun gaming sessions

    we have experienced, for quite some time now. :)

    And since none of this would have been possible for us without Mangos, UDB,

    SD2, Acid, YTDB, I'd like to share it with you guys aswell.

    Cheers & thanks guys!

  9. http://filebeam.com/d15793fd574a000047498cb7162a748e

    They were built on Win7 64bit with VC100 in 32bit Release mode

    That is the best way to verify indeed. Thank you!

    2011-09-10 18:51:59 WORLD: World initialized

    Booted perfectly. :)

    Yet, with the 4gig ram limit (would like to mount 8gig ram) of 32bit OS, I think i'm gonna use this as best solution:

    A dualboot (why didn't i think of that earlier^^):

    -Win7 64bit as gaming environment

    &

    -XPpro 32bit as Mangos build&test environment

    Now, off to choosing parts. <:)

    Thanks again for intel guys! :)

  10. My pc is getting old (6 years), and i'm looking into buying a new one at last.

    But I always did the following:

    Compile Mangos on my pc (xp 32bit) and then, when all was fine,

    i copied the files over to my other pc wich is dedicated to mangos (family&friends-scale server), and also runs xp32-bit.

    I'd like to keep Xp on the mangos dedicated one, since i know Xp 'pretty well',

    whilst i have little knowledge of 'finetuning' win7 for running mangos 24/7.

    So:

    Can I compile Mangos on win7 32-bit and then copy it over to a winXP 32-bit machine, and see it run flawlessly like before?

  11. Well, i'm out of ideas. ^^

    Did many tests, brought in a calculator, asked the wife etc etc; but i just can't seem to make any sense in the ahbot.cfg:

    I would like to get 300 items on alliance, 150 on neutral and 150 on horde, with the following preferences:

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Consumable = 6

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Container = 4

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Weapon = 6

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Gem = 3

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Armor = 6

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Reagent = 2

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Projectile = 0

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.TradeGood = 10

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Generic = 1

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Recipe = 6

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Quiver = 1

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Quest = 1

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Key = 1

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Misc = 4

    AuctionHouseBot.Class.Glyph = 3

    (left out projectiles cos of the insane prices aked (&bought) by ahbot)

    This is my current ahbot.cfg:

    http://pastebin.com/CATYkmCn

    with this cfg i get:

    126 on alliance

    90 neutral

    90 horde

    Now:

    "AuctionHouseBot.Class.*

    # Here you can set the class of items you prefer to be show on AH

    # These value is preference value, it's not percentage. So the maximum is 10.

    # The minimum is 0 (disabled).

    # Default 6,4,8,3,8,1,2,10,1,6,1,1,1,5,3"

    Changing these values should not influence total numbers visible if i understand correct, but changing these while leaving others setting same DOES influence total number. ('quivers' also never seem to appear)

    other example:

    http://pastebin.com/yfftL4pj

    You can see here:

    158.AuctionHouseBot.Alliance.Items.Amount.Ratio = 100

    159.AuctionHouseBot.Horde.Items.Amount.Ratio = 50

    160.AuctionHouseBot.Neutral.Items.Amount.Ratio = 50

    &

    189.AuctionHouseBot.Items.Amount.Grey = 0

    190.AuctionHouseBot.Items.Amount.White = 200

    191.AuctionHouseBot.Items.Amount.Green = 250

    192.AuctionHouseBot.Items.Amount.Blue = 150

    193.AuctionHouseBot.Items.Amount.Purple = 100

    194.AuctionHouseBot.Items.Amount.Orange = 0

    195.AuctionHouseBot.Items.Amount.Yellow = 0

    Now, 200 + 250 +150 +100 = 700 right?

    So you would expect 700 alliance, 350 nuetral, 350 horde?

    But the ingame result is:

    420 alliance

    169 horde

    169 nuetral

    = 758 (?)

    why 169 also is 50% of 420, i have noooo idea^^

    So any information on how the .cfg should be correctly interpretted would be very very welcome.

    I personnally cannot understand all the factors influencing total number. :|
