I tried both, same outcome. No problems in applying the patch, the problem comes after having configured it, and then coming to compiling.

I got a problem in the compiling phase, in the middle of the make install process, I get a long list of errors, and then it stops, saying nothing. I have followed the whole tutorial so far, no errors what so ever in any of the previous steps, the only different thing I did than the tutorial was to update with the newest patch that I got from the svn. Any help appreciated.
