Absolutely true, no one has objections too intelligent discussion about future patches and changes etc, but some people just can't get hold of the fact that you can't just paste the code into something and it works!

It would be much more helpful if you were to post the exact error message you are getting, and when.

XtremeX is taking a couple of weeks vacation, just to see if that helps it sink in that 4.x is NOT supported

I assume the OP wants to use mangos with Cataclysm. This isn't possible yet.

the 4.x branch on GIT is for people who know what they are doing with it. You will get NO help with it on the forum. It is completely unsupported, if you dont know how to use it, then you shouldnt be using it. And PLEASE, no more questions about 4.x and how to use it.

nowhere. this code shows developers the structure of the packets, so that they can implement it. there are also people who can read that and write code for it, not only copy it and ask where to paste it.

if you have to ask, then you probably can't. There is NO support for 4.x.

Would it be possible to implement something like either the IPB inline mod (take action on multiple threads) or the "Delete as spam" option? Makes it easier for situations such as earlier when a bot started spamming the forum, currently i must ban the user then manually delete each post. On the previous forum it was possible to select multiple posts, or by deleting as spam you could ban and remove all posts at the same time

Neo you were wrong about one thing. You said that if we have to patch the client then what is the point? True. Although haven't we been patching realmlist.wtf for the last 6 years? You gotta remember that. If we just made an Open Source Program that patches the client and the realmlist then its a one click process to inject and in my option that'd be faster then by changing realmlists manually. The tool could be used to do both patch SMSG_REDIRECT_CLIENT and the realmlist. Just seems easier. Shoot I'd be glad to make the freakin tool cause its not difficult to make an injecting program (Kidding of course cause TOM_RUS or Vladamir could do it within 5 minutes) but yea.

But just keep that in mind. We are already patching the client in some form. :cool:

The point is that modifying the client is illegal, and attracts more attention from the creators. Making tools to modify it is as sensible as making a large sign saying "come close us down".

The forum has always been against client modifications, for good reasons, Anything that requires client modification is just pointless imo, regardless of the legality, have you considered the massive security risk of using a client that someone else has modified? It wouldnt be difficult to make further modifications the can do much more dangerous things than you thoght it was doing.

As already stated, Repacks are not supported. Please read the compiling and instll guides and build mangos yourself.

minimanager is nothing to do with mangos, you should report problems directly to them.

just as a note: this problem with the 2x "Report" button is only in here, in a normal section everything seems to be fine and i also have the "Edit" and "Delete" buttons there. but i don't see any way to move or close a topic

Repacks are not supported, bug reports from anything but a clean source are pretty useless.

Not mangos problem. You will need some scripts to make it work (as Schmoozerd says above)
