Error in item_template table, probably sql file format was updated (there should

be 137 fields in sql).

if you re-extract the map and dbc files and you still get this error it is most likely your database. One of the two needs updating I think?

thats is NOTHING to do with DBC or maps.

Its al lto do with an inability to search the forum or read the FAQ, your DB version does not match your mangos version, you missed some SQL updates (FAQ link in my sig)

Starting from [8589] MaNGOS support only client version 3.2.2A (10505) at master branch (Client 2.4.3 still limited supported at mangos-0.12 branch)

You need to update your source code, its out of date.

are you sure you compiled the latest source code from the GIT?

to davemm it still won't work.

i deleted it and created a new folder still the same problem.

i have googled for my error but i haven't found anything relevant even on git's faqs

i told you to delete the directory, i did not tell you to create a new one, let GIT create the directory, you cannot clone into an already existing directory.

The error message tells you everything you need to know, the error is because the directory already exists!

realmd.exe load fine, when I'm runnning mangosd.exe stop at

This is my first attemp to install and run mangos and my first post so plz analyze evreythung you can

that doesnt even get an answer. Read the FAQ or one of the other 99999999 threads asking the same question and having the same answer.

i have a problem while trying to use the git software.

i installed git and after creating a folder "Mangos", i right-click on it and select "git gui here" then click on clone existing repository.

i type in the source destination "git://github.com/mangos/mangos.git" and the target address is set to the location of my mangos folder which is in the desktop.

the moment i press the clone button i get this error, quote:

"Location C:/Users/Geam/Desktop/Mangos already exists"

can anyone help me solve this problem because i would really like to compile mangos on my own.

Delete the folder and try it, it should work then.

its not worth going over 100, there are too many complications and client limitations, things will break, other things will crash, some things may even explode.

I doubt anyone is crazy enough to run 4k users on windows lol.

i'd love to see a win machine running anywhere NEAR 4k

probably using the 3.2.0 branch from GIT, which is completely unsupported.

3,2,x is not yet supported.

You need 3.1.3 client for master branch.

Google it, or gogle how to downgrade your client.

Everything works fine for me except one thing:

When I double-click mangos.exe to run it, it starts up, for the briefest second I see the program run, and then it simply up and closes itself down. It doesn't stay up long enough for me to see exactly what is appearing in the window; I don't think there are any error messages though I believe the last line or two in the window before it shuts down are colored red. Mangos.exe simply closes itself down almost immediately after starting up.

run from a command prompt and you will see the error.

the ingame chat on retail is pretty bad tbh, everyone ignores it and just uses vent/ts It hardly seems worth even implementing tbh.

no, the editing of client files is illegal and not discussed here.

ok now from what i understand i need to update my database with the updates but how to i do that

you read the faq and guides, or one of the other hundreds of posts made every day about the exact same problem.

For help with updates, read this guide, read the stickies, read the FAQ. search the forum, no one is going to write guides again and again and again just because people cant be bothered to read and learn a little.

hi i have rev 8480 db_version Mangos default database. whene i whant to update to rev 382 its shows some error and it won't open mangosd can somebody help?

that would depend rather on what the error is. My crystal ball is broken unfortunately.

there is a 3.2.x version of mangos in the development branch of GIT.

It is completely unsupported and i would advise not to use it unless you understand what you are doing.

this is not the right place for bug reports, and please read the bug report guidelines before you post again.

320 branch is not supported yet.

which rev, branch, client version, database, sd2 etcetc, you need to supply a lot more information if you want someone to be able to help you.

lol, people asking about 3.2.x is bad enough, but people asking about completely unreleased, unfinished, some-time-in-the-future content is just......meh.
