maybe the best idea would be to check SD2 forums for details of SD2 errors?
-
this is an announcement thread, not a support thread, please post any questions (after reading and searching) in the main forum please.
-
the copyright is NOT yours, the copyright belongs to the company who made the contents of that screenshot.
Ehm... I don't post a bug i want to talk about a warrior tank on a mangos server
ok, ill move it back, but if you DO decide its a bug, please repost in the bug report section, following the guidelines posted above.

3.1.x is not yet supported.

database content, the content of npc vendors, and specific npc's should be discussed at your database authors forum.

Applying: ScriptDev2 patch commit error: patch failed: src/mangosd/Makefile.am:33 error: src/mangosd/Makefile.am: patch does not apply Patch failed at 0001. When you have resolved this problem run "git am --resolved". If you would prefer to skip this patch, instead run "git am --skip". To restore the original branch and stop patching run "git am --abort".
Help
nothing to do with mangos, ask/search at scriptdev2 forums

How can I remove the version check at login time so you could log on with a newer client version?
I'm quite sure it only takes changes to a few lines in the source, but it will take some time to figure it out. I'm quite sure someone here already knows where the version check takes place.
not a good idea, too much changes between client versions to make it reliable.
If it DID work properly, do you not think that it would be a standard feature?
just use 0-12 branch for 2.43 or master branch for 3.0.9 (there is also a 3.1.x development branch, but there is no help or support for it)

nothing to do with mangos, ask whoever made it!
-
for scripting, head over to scriptdev2.com and take a look around, lots of nice info there.
I find the easiest way to try and learn is to study other peoples patches/scripts, as they often come with a nice description

yes probably your right, but last time i used git i got a 6928 mangos

The Massive Network Game Object Server (MaNGOS) has been built with education as the main target and the MaNGOS team would like to keep it that way.
Since any public and/or commercial use of this software is considered illegal in many countries (please refer to your local law), the MaNGOS team will not provide any help nor support with such usage in any way.
Every user of this software is encouraged to make sure no law is being broken on his side.
Both the MaNGOS team and MaNGOS foundation don't take any responsibility for any kind of usage of this software by the end users.
-
then you shouldnt be using mangos, and you will get no further help on these forums.
-
cant check it at the minute, but i assume its unix time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time

best antihack is the .ban command
or, tell your friends who use your test server not to use hacks?
-
read the install guide stickies. Get source from git and recompile.
master branch is for 3.0.9
0.12 branch is for 2.4.3
-
1st suggestion would be to compile a new rev, 6767 is VERY old!!
-
hi i use this command
svn co https://ScriptDev2.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ScriptDev2/ src/bindings/ScriptDev2/
but show up this
svn: Could not open the requested SVN filesystem
thanks for look
why would you ask for scriptdev help on mangos forum??
-
the whole idea of mangos project is to learn about setting up your own test server. You wont learn much by letting someone else do it all for you, will you?
-
maybe i should have said that "SD2 is not a part of Mangosproject" would that have been clearer?
I meant that if you have a problem with SD2, ask at their forums, not here.
Same as if you had a problem with your Database, or forum, or site etcetc.

welcome back! hope everything is going ok.
We tried to keep the place clean while you were away!

sharing/downloading DBC files is illegal.
you will HAVE to extract them.

Reporting at SD2 forum, when Mangos does not even build is futile. And currently, that is the fact. Mangos does not compile under Vista, VC90 x64 Debug. Once it's back on track, other projects depending on Mangos will follow, like usual
i didn't say that it was a problem with sd2 just that people need to know to post bugs at the right forum, and that mangos can work without SD2 (although its much more fun WITH SD2 )
sorry for the confusion!

scriptdev2 is NOT required for mangos to work.
Scriptdev2 is NOTHING to do with mangos, it is an entirely different and separate project.
If you have a problem with scriptdev, report it at their forums.
