  1. the copyright is NOT yours, the copyright belongs to the company who made the contents of that screenshot.

Ehm... I don't post a bug i want to talk about a warrior tank on a mangos server

ok, ill move it back, but if you DO decide its a bug, please repost in the bug report section, following the guidelines posted above.

  2. Applying: ScriptDev2 patch commit
    error: patch failed: src/mangosd/Makefile.am:33
error: src/mangosd/Makefile.am: patch does not apply
    Patch failed at 0001.
When you have resolved this problem run "git am --resolved".
If you would prefer to skip this patch, instead run "git am --skip".
To restore the original branch and stop patching run "git am --abort".

    Help :S

nothing to do with mangos, ask/search at scriptdev2 forums

  3. How can I remove the version check at login time so you could log on with a newer client version?

I'm quite sure it only takes changes to a few lines in the source, but it will take some time to figure it out. I'm quite sure someone here already knows where the version check takes place.

not a good idea, too much changes between client versions to make it reliable.

If it DID work properly, do you not think that it would be a standard feature?

just use 0-12 branch for 2.43 or master branch for 3.0.9 (there is also a 3.1.x development branch, but there is no help or support for it)

  4. for scripting, head over to scriptdev2.com and take a look around, lots of nice info there.

I find the easiest way to try and learn is to study other peoples patches/scripts, as they often come with a nice description :P

  5. The Massive Network Game Object Server (MaNGOS) has been built with education as the main target and the MaNGOS team would like to keep it that way.

Since any public and/or commercial use of this software is considered illegal in many countries (please refer to your local law), the MaNGOS team will not provide any help nor support with such usage in any way.

Every user of this software is encouraged to make sure no law is being broken on his side.

Both the MaNGOS team and MaNGOS foundation don't take any responsibility for any kind of usage of this software by the end users.

  6. Reporting at SD2 forum, when Mangos does not even build is futile. And currently, that is the fact. Mangos does not compile under Vista, VC90 x64 Debug. Once it's back on track, other projects depending on Mangos will follow, like usual :)

i didn't say that it was a problem with sd2 ;) just that people need to know to post bugs at the right forum, and that mangos can work without SD2 (although its much more fun WITH SD2 :P)

    sorry for the confusion!
