  1. silverice is there any way you can think of to merge this patch with the vehicles patch? they both use a part of player.cpp and player.h that I am not sure are compatible... been working on it for a few hrs now.. if this current build test doesnt work I am stumped though
  2. ya know.. I am not personally supporting the move of playerbot to brunogcar's forums, but he does make a valid point... with a project as big as playerbot has become it does need its own support forum.. I think if anything needs something like that its the Vehicle system. Personally i dont find vehicles to be that difficult to add to a compile, I see more noobs in here who flat out refuse to learn to code and just want someone to do their work for them, and thats just a real pity. I know for a fact that wojita and thyros, trapoinet and a few others are working their tails off to make Vehicles better, meanwhile they are constantly asked to stop working on progress to stop and make patches etc for the lazy ppl in here that either dont have the desire, or the mental acuity to do a little work on their own and thats just wrong.. its what holds up any project. personally, IMO they should cut all patch support... if you cant take the time to learn how to make something as simple as a patch you dont really need to have stuff you dont understand anyway.
  3. yeah be prepared to see a few errors due to recent changes in mangos blueboy I will do as I can will see you on those new forums soon... been really busy rebuilding the core from scratch for Project DarkIce the last couple days
  4. i sympathize with thyros and the others making this repo... i mean seriously guys... a PATCH file is a text file... if you cannot automatically apply the patch, open thepatch file in a text editor, read which files it affects, open those files and insert the code where it belongs.. all patch files contain lines from before the insertion and after the insertion... search the files you need to edit for the data given and apply where needed.. this isnt a brain transplant kids..

FYI to anyone attempting to use the PORTAL version of playerbot... it was prolly an oversight, but blueboy seems to have forgotten to rewrite the #include files to point to the correct directories... not really a hard thing to fix, but just so you know.. you will need to add a lot of " ../" 's in those files

  9. usually i would spend 10-15 mins rewording what i want to say from one language to the other (switching back and forth to see what the other end translates to...) but i really didnt care to go through all that at the time.

Вам действительно нужно кого-то сделать всю работу за вас? Если да, то вы действительно не имеют бизнеса в области развития часть из форумов для начала я пиявок

  14. this is good information to know, however i think that the best way to handle cheaters is to do so manually and make public spectacle of said cheater... disable thier accts or similar and make public posts to all users that using such cheats will result in deletion of chars or accts.. piss them off, show em WHY they shouldnt be cheating and how it will hurt them if they do... its more work perhaps but it will curb ppl from looking for such cheats in the future, rather than adding anti-cheat coding which almost always results in breaking other features of the server itself.
  15. ok... this all looks like good attempts to work on the modification and such but I am having one small problem with the communication in this thread.: 1.) why all the russian? ppl are supposed to be posting in english in this part of the forums 2.) whats the hubbub about copyrights.. the way i see it, if you want open source HELP you keep your patch OPEN SOURCE.. dont ask the community for help on a project if you are not going to share the final product with the community 3.) why is there a password on the patch? this sort of refers to #2... there is no reason to password something you intend to share with everyone, and if you do not intend to share it you shouldnt even bring it up in here. aside from all that.. is the patch working or no on clean mangos apply... and seriously.. to all those ppl that are always saying UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE... go buy some damn pampers.. i can understand if a patch is like several hundred revisions older than current, but seriously, is it THAT hard to open c++ and fix what doesnt apply correctly?! Do you REALLY need someone to do ALL the work FOR you? If so, you really have no business in the Developmental part of the forums to begin with ya leeches

  18. github is NOT infallible.. it DOES fuck up... my suggestion when you come to such situations is that you retry your command a fdew times... dont close the window.. just retry.. seriously, GITHUB does make clerical mistakes

  22. that WOULD be really great and i think it would add some spice to the bots as well.. put all the abilities into a graphical GUI .. yeah that would be a great idea. I also agree on the use of them, its why i have been implementing the playerbot repo in my live core for quite some time and why we implement it in Hellscream. However I also like the comment earlier in this discussion where we were talking about making the bots friendly to other users as well.. then two LIVE ppl could join a party each bringing 9 bots of thier own along so you could do the 20-man areas or three people for 25mans etc..
  23. sorry but I find that hard to believe edder, the vehicle system that Tasss has implemented and has been developing (as well as other great devs such as thyros and trap) has been available for mangos to incorporate into master for quite some time and they have made no attempt to put into master.. yes i realize it 'isnt finished yet' but just like mangos-prime it never will be finished... i do not know that this is the official reason but i suspect that its because a direct mangos dev has nothing to do with its development thus it will never be implemented.. or at least not until they rewrite it so they can call it their own.. thats not meant negatively upon mangos despite the way it looks, its just an observation is all just to further clarify my point.. ahbot is complete for the most part and has even been adopted by other major projects such as trinity but it has never made it to master mangos.. you could say that its because it isnt offy, and its true that it is not, but ALLOW.TWO.SIDED interaction/trading/chat is not blizzy either and yet it still exists in the master... so its not fully a matter of how complete the work is, the weight has to be on another level entirely..
  24. personally having seen playerbot when it was on its original repo and then matching it to current playerbot I would say blueboy has taken a very buggy and rudimentary structure and made something real and quite promising from it... i think sometimes people see a modification project and they see how advanced it might be and then just get itchy and want to know why it isnt perfect not realizing that it was never meant to be in the game in the first place.. like the ppl who complain about AHBOT or even something as simple as allow.two.side interaction. these modifications are NOT blizzy, you wouldnt be able to use any of them on real servers (even ahbot in that the ahbot allows you to go to ANY ah and they are all technically the same ah..) but thats going to happen, remember ignorance is bliss, but only to the ignorant... the rest of us have to deal with the headaches that come of it...lol

    i am not sure if this is the correct thread to ask about it, but looks close to me, so if i am wrong please feel free to let me know *lol* is there a new ad.exe in the works for 400? we have an alpha on HSC but wanted to know if someone has made progress with it or not..
