  1. Launcher webpage section created Screenshot here: Template file for this is inside svn, now its the case of creating the first bit of the launcher (loads the launcher page into the launcher) Website demo of the launcher here: http://launcher.iguardians.co.uk/
  2. First support will have to be windows/linux really. Could then be ported to mac. Anyone with some programing experience able to lend a hand?
  3. They have activated the project: svn: Wiki: If there are people with some good skills in C++/wxwidgets/ intrested, please contact me.
  4. As I have mostly used SourceForge, I set up a project there: https://sourceforge.net/projects/glauncher/ If people want to help with this, please let me know, going to need some help.
  5. Ok, thanks for input. Will sort a SVN or git. Probably be either Sourceforge or github.
  6. Looks intresting:) I will have a read thanks.
  7. Hope it's ok to post this here, Im intrested in doing more with C++, and thought a project that would be good to do would be to create a game "Launcher" that can run on M$ aswell as Linux/mac (Linux via wine possibly, or natively) im not sure about mac, not a mac user. Whats required to make a app that can pull in a website url into the app as per set in a file before compile, with possible other features. This came about from people using official games on linux boxes, that want a reliable launcher. Anyone intrested in helping? (Code would be opensource)
  8. I would suggest Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS edition, the 8.10 has had a few problems being reported currently. Ubuntu server does not come with a graphical user interface, and ideally, don't install one it slows you down. Suggestion is using Webmin, and SSH via something like Putty, you are able to do everything you need to do nicely. Webmin also comes with a java file manager, so you can get a graphical file management tool that you can use from any computer via webbrowser (with ports open you can even use via the internet, it comes with encription) (Ps whats the rules on posting links to things like ubuntu/putty/webmin?) Feel free to drop me a message if you want help with a ubuntu server.
  9. Thanks for the work developers, many people have been asking me if the move of the realmlist.wtf comes also with some kind of call back to b, to say that its been changed? Either way, thanks guys.
  10. Its great to see how well MaNGOS has progressed (and still doing so) Many projects have come and gone, but MaNGOS is still here. All the best to the future of MaNGOS. (Was it ok to post this in here?)
