take two threads to update world

In mangos ,it has one thread called world ,which uses update() function to fresh the whole world , and I find it
will check and update a serial of timers at each time of update , which means the later timers must wait for the prior complete update , so I am puzlled if we can use one more thread to update thoses
timers ,and will this can make server more efficiency ?

sadly mangos is a single threaded application, with the objectmgr passing out unique id's to all parts of the system.
Having more than one doing that job will cause the server to come crashing down.
